Nesting Tawny Frogmouth update:

She's still nesting. No sign of chicks yet (unsurprisingly, it hasn't been that long).

Tawny Frogmouth on a small nest in the fork of a dead wattle tree. She's got her head tilted upright to appear more like dead-wood. Her feather colouring and patterning is a pretty good match for the dead wattle tree.

View from a little further away and the other side. You can see how precarious and small the nest is on this sloped branch.

View from almost under-neath looking up. Her beak and tail are both visible, although the tail resembles the peeling bark of the branches she's nestled on.
