Checked in on the Tiny Frogs this morning (there were 17 of them). Found these three in a photographable location before getting in to a conversation with a fellow frog appreciator.

We did the Koondaii Loop track this morning and encountered a few birds along the way. Here are four of them.
A Grey Goshawk, checking us out.
A Brown Cuckoo-Dove.
A Rufous Fantail.
And a Bassian Thrush.

A sample of the ten tiny treefrogs I found this morning.
Eastern Dwarf Tree Frogs, mostly perched on guinea grass.
My morning was improved one-hundred-fold by the discovery of this tiny Eastern Dwarf Treefrog on a citrus fruit.
It was no bigger than a beetle, and almost the same colour as the unripe fruit.
Hello, from this little Grey Fantail.
A small sample of the "too many frogs to count" I found when leaving the office this afternoon.
The usual reeds were covered in tiny frogs. Well in excess of 30.

Red-backed Fairywrens at Oxley Creek Common yesterday morning.
Male calling (black with orange wings), female doing a flyby (brown).
A Plumed Egret (award for most obvious bird name) this morning before work.
This one is in full breeding plumage and colouring (green face rather than yellow, dark orange beak, rather than yellow).
These three Kookaburras landed in this tree and had a bit of a chuckle, but the local Noisy Miners took offence to their presence and began swooping them.

A Brown Goshawk I spotted circling over Oxley Creek Commons on Sunday morning. Pretty high up, so not the clearest of shots, but good to see all the same.
Nesting Tawny Frogmouth update:
She's still nesting. No sign of chicks yet (unsurprisingly, it hasn't been that long).
One of our regular Sulphur-crested Cockatoos (tastefully done in high-key b&w).
The Rainbow Bee-eaters and Striated Pardalotes are back hanging around the embankment near the ferry terminal at work. They'll start making burrows for nesting soon.
