Ancient volcanic rock resting by the tide at Tara Cove, Ballymoney. The colours, the lines and the layers always mesmerise me there!

A close-up photograph of a weathered rock formation on a sandy beach beside the sea. The smooth, rounded rock on the right resembles the head and snout of a sleeping dog resting on the pale sand. The stone displays pale seafoam green and buff tones, marked with warm ochre and reddish-brown mineral veins that trace natural cracks. In the soft-focus background, calm grey-blue seawater stretches toward a low headland under an overcast, pale blue and cloudy sky. The lighting is soft and natural, evoking a quiet, contemplative coastal atmosphere.

The folded rock patterns at Tara Cove Beach look like natural brushstrokes when the light hits them just right.

A close-up vertical shot of a dramatic, wave-sculpted rock face jutting out from fine, pale sand on a quiet beach. The geological stone features swirling, vertical ribbons in shades of silvery-grey, soft slate, and rich terracotta-red, accented by patches of vibrant green moss tucked into the crevices. Soft evening light grazes the textured surface, highlighting its weathered folds and grooves against a gentle blue sky with wispy white clouds overhead.
