The album was produced by Dave Fridmann (Mogwai, Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips) and features guests Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) and Colin Stetson (saxophonist who has collaborated with Bon Ivor, Arcade Fire). Recorded at Vada Studios, England by Tony Doogan (Grey Dogs, Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian) with Fridmann in full remote control from the US. . This new album will please old fans and gain new as it has something for everyone. Both transcendent and surprising, As The Love Continues shows that Mogwai are still offering solace from the mundane, supplying the soundtrack to whatever movie you are making in your head.

While Nico was the member of the Velvet Underground who had had the least experience in music prior to joining the group (while she had recorded a pop single in England, she'd never been a member of a working band before Andy Warhol introduced her to the Velvets), she was also the one who strayed farthest from traditional rock & roll after her brief tenure with the band, and by the time she recorded Desertshore, her work had little (if anything) to do with traditional Western pop. John Cale, who produced and arranged Desertshore, once described the music as having more to do with 20th century classical music than anything else, and while that may be going a bit far to make a point, even compared to the avant-rock frenzy of the Velvet Underground's early material, Desertshore is challenging stuff. Nico's dour Teutonic monotone is a compelling but hardly welcoming vocal presence, and the songs, centered around the steady drone of her harmonium, are often grim meditations on fate that are crafted and performed with inarguable skill and intelligence, but are also a bit samey, and the album's downbeat tone gets to be rough sledding by the end of side two. Cale's arrangements are superb throughout, and "My Only Child," "Afraid," and "The Falconer" are quite beautiful in their own ascetic way, but like the bulk of Nico's repertoire, Desertshore is an album practically designed to polarize its listeners; you'll either embrace it's darkness or give up on it before the end of side one. Then again, given the thoroughly uncompromising nature of her career as a musician, that's probably just what Nico had in mind.

The Velvet Underground — which at that time consisted of Doug Yule (vocals/guitar), Willie Alexander (keyboards/vocals), Walter Powers (bass guitar) and Maureen Tucker (drums) — had toured the United Kingdom and The Netherlands in October and November of 1971 to support its latest album, Loaded, which had seen a European release in March of that year. The plan was to record a second and final album for their record company, Atlantic Records, afterwards, [1] but Atlantic had lost faith and decided to issue an archive recording from 1970 featuring Lou Reed, Live at Max's Kansas City, instead. [2] After the tour, band manager Steve Sesnick managed to get a recording deal with Polydor UK to record a final Velvet Underground album. Alexander, Powers and Tucker were sent back to the United States by Sesnick, however, presumably to retain maximum control over the finished product. [3] Thus, Yule was the only Velvet to actually perform on the album. Although Squeeze was released nominally as a Velvet Underground album, it could justifiably be regarded as a Doug Yule solo album in all but name. The eleven songs that make up Squeeze were written by Yule and recorded with the help of Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, with additional occasional saxophone and backing singer assistance. They range from Beatles-like whimsy ("Crash") via pop to typical 70s rock ("Mean Old Man"). Squeeze was recorded in the autumn of 1972 and released in the United Kingdom, France, Germany (all 1973) and Spain (1974)[4]. No singles were taken off it and the album did not chart. Yule assembled a backing band consisting of Rob Norris (guitar), George Kay (bass guitar) and Mark Nauseef (drums) to tour the United Kingdom in November and December 1972 to promote the upcoming album; a live recording from this tour is included on the 2001 live box set Final V.U. 1971-1973. After the tour, during which they were deserted by Sesnick, Yule also called it quits, bringing the Velvet Underground to an end[5]. Squeeze saw a number of re-issues in France during the 1970s and early 1980s. It has been out of print since, and has not been issued on compact disc. The status of Squeeze in the Velvet Underground's canon is generally regarded as dubious; the 1995 Velvets boxed set Peel Slowly and See includes the four studio albums from the Lou Reed era of the band, but excludes Squeeze. Mogwai are a Scottish rock group from Glasgow, Scotland. Formed by Stuart Braithwaite and Dominic Aitchison in 1995, Mogwai has since become one of the most influential and best known names in post-rock.[ Mogwai's sixth studio album is, as one might expect, a brooding and atmospheric collection, full of the band's exceptional use of dynamics and creation of hypnotic soundscapes. 'The Hawk Is Howling' is, however, partly more reflective thanprevious releases, perhaps sharing more in common with 2001's 'Rock Action'. Instrumentally the band have somewhat branched out, utilising light synthesizers on tracks such as 'The Sun Smells Too Loud'. For the first time since their debut'Mogwai Young Team' LP, Andy Miller was on production duties. Recorded in notable Glasgow studio Chem 19 (run by the Chemikal Underground record label), this release sees Mogwai simultaneously stepping forward musically and returning to their roots.

The Bug aka Kevin Richard Martin, and Berlin based, American producer/vocalist, Dis Fig aka Felicia Chen, refer to their style on the album In Blue as ’Tunnel Sound’. A foggy, melancholic meltdown of narco-dancehall, zoned soul and dread drenched, electronic dub. Almost 2 years of lab exchanges finally led to the deeply sensual pulsations, and lyrical long shadows of In Blue - an album that shares shades of King Midas Sound’s wrecked lovers rock, alongside the bass immersion that The Bug has become infamously known for. So it’s appropriate that Martin should return to Hyperdub, where “Skeng” was initially dropped as a single. And just as Martin took a stylistic swerve on this album, so did Chen. Previously known for experimental noise onslaughts and emotional exorcisms, she herein, opts for threatening intimacy and hushed confessionals, concentrating on bittersweet vocals and seductive surprises that are all the more potent for their inferred narratives and delicate delivery. Mixed entirely during lockdown in Kevin’s new Brussels home, the sense of claustro-fear, escapism and tension is palpable. And with the bewitching croon of Dis Fig, directing the flow, carnality and violence merge under the turbulent, cinematic surface of this hypnotically addictive album.

虽然《其实你不懂我的心》当时在港台地区的影响最大，但内地歌迷最先熟悉的却是童安格的第六张张专辑《梦开始的地方》，这是内地正式引进的第一张童安格的专辑。中国唱片总公司引进发行的这张专辑命名为《童安格新曲》，今天回头看这张专辑，真的别有一番滋味。是这张专辑让我们认识了童安格，一直无法忘记第一次听“梦开始的地方”的感动，也无法忘记第一次听“借我一点爱”时的激动。可以说，它带给我的不仅仅是十首歌，而是被拨动的心弦，而心弦一旦被拨动，从此就只能跟着童安格的歌跳动了。若论流传之广，恐怕要算“耶丽亚女郎”了，这首歌的创意取自少数民族的音乐，既有极强的可听性，又十分易学上口，在当时几乎人人会唱。 “梦开始的地方”是专辑的主打歌，是一首环保歌曲，动人之处是它的旋律和歌者的演绎。说起来那时童安格的创作力是很旺盛的，几张专辑的歌曲几乎都是他自己作词作曲的，而且几乎每首歌都算得上好歌，所以也只能说那时是他的全盛时期。
