This is a colour abstract photo in landscape format of the front of a small multi-story city car park (I believe automated) with a striped chequered patten alternating red and yellow. Singapore (2012).

The entire photo is filled with the front of this car park. Stretching across the front are alternating fabric stripes made up of yellow and red horizontal rectangular rectangles. Each one is about two metres long and one metre high. Above each multi-coloured (bi-coloured) stripe is a clear strip where the structure of the car park is visible. The interior is made up from multiple vertical grey girders, plus the odd diagonal crossbeam for added strength. Just visible are the car sized platforms that the cars rest on, that appear to have two parallel grooves for the tyre to rest on with a slightly elevated section in the centre. Also visible is the occasional illuminated neon light. Above the clear strip is a further multi-coloured stripe and so the pattern repeats with four coloured stripes and three clear strips contained in the photo - But no cars ? (The photo was taken early in the morning, just after sunrise).

De maker van de lichtkoepel in het is Izaak (Isaac) Gosschalk (1838–1907), een vooraanstaand Nederlands architect en ingenieur uit Amsterdam. Hij ontwierp het huidige stationsgebouw, dat in 1896 werd voltooid.
Een belangrijke figuur in de Nederlandse architectuur van de late 19e eeuw en stond bekend als een vroege voorvechter van de herleving van de Hollandse Renaissance-stijl (1560–1630). Hij combineerde in zijn werken vaak elementen uit de neorenaissance en de neogotiek. De lichtkoepel, bekend als "Het Oog", is een kenmerkend art nouveau-ontwerp dat de zon voorstelt.
Naast het station in Groningen ontwierp Gosschalk onder meer:
De Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam (waarvan delen, zoals de watertoren, inmiddels gesloopt zijn).
Diverse synagogen.
Bierbrouwerijen en cafés.
Godsdienstbewaarscholen.
Vanwege zijn bijdrage aan deze stijl kreeg hij wel de bijnaam "architect van de Hollandse Renaissance". Hij was ook actief in het verenigingsleven, zo was hij voorzitter van de afdeling Amsterdam van de Maatschappij tot Bevordering der Bouwkunst en gemeenteraadslid in Amsterdam.

een van de perrons van Groningen Centraal Station, 2018 (lokaal ook wel Hoofdstation genoemd) is het belangrijkste spoorwegstation van de stad Groningen en de hoofdstad van de gelijknamige provincie in Nederland. Het station ligt op de kruising van drie spoorlijnen: Harlingen–Nieuweschans, Meppel–Groningen en Groningen–Delfzijl.

Het eerste stationsgebouw dateert uit 1865 maar werd in 1894 gesloopt. Het huidige, tweede gebouw werd ontworpen door architect Izaak Gosschalk, voltooid in 1896 en voor het laatst gerestaureerd in 2000. De treindiensten worden verzorgd door Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) en Arriva. Daarnaast is het station een groot knooppunt voor het busvervoer, met 41 buslijnen van vervoerder Qbuzz.

Esta es una fotografía en blanco y negro que captura uno de los elementos decorativos más característicos de la Alhambra de Granada: una bóveda o arco de mocárabes. La foto está tomada en nuestro último viaje por tierras granadinas en septiembre del año 2023.

La imagen está tomada desde un ángulo inferior, mirando hacia arriba, lo que permite apreciar en profundidad la estructura de un gran arco. En la parte superior se distingue un arco festoneado o lobulado, cuyo intradós está decorado con una sucesión de nervaduras acanaladas que convergen radialmente, un motivo muy propio del arte nazarí.
Debajo del arco se despliega el elemento más impresionante de la composición: una cúpula o bóveda de mocárabes, formada por cientos de pequeñas celdillas prismáticas escalonadas que se proyectan hacia abajo como estalactitas de yeso. Esta técnica decorativa, típica de la arquitectura islámica y especialmente refinada en los palacios nazaríes, crea un efecto de profundidad y textura casi orgánico, con capas superpuestas que van decreciendo en tamaño desde el centro hacia los bordes.

En la parte inferior de la imagen se aprecian varias franjas horizontales de decoración tallada en yeso, entre las que destacan:
• Paneles de sebka o red losangular, con motivos geométricos entrelazados.
• Inscripciones epigráficas en caligrafía árabe cúfica o cursiva, integradas como parte del programa decorativo, algo habitual en la Alhambra donde los muros incluyen poemas y frases religiosas.
• Bandas de rosetas y estrellas geométricas de ocho puntas, dispuestas en un friso continuo cerca de la base.

El tratamiento en blanco y negro acentúa el contraste entre luces y sombras, resaltando la tridimensionalidad de los mocárabes y el intrincado tallado del yeso.
