Some pretty ducks at the lake today.

Playing with framing up the image this time, just for something different. I think I like it - I might do it occasionally.

A close-up photograph of the head of a pacific black duck. It's head is in the centre of the shot. It has tan and black feathering, with alternating horizontal stripes. The top of its head is made up of black feathers, followed by tan and black feather stripes with a black feather stripe cutting through its eyeline, finally finishing with tan feathers under its head, along its neckline. From the side of its head running down its back is mottled tan and black feathers interleaved. Its beak is a black-ish colour but is slightly lighter than its black feathers. It has a brown eye with a black pupil. The image is square, and the beak is only partially visible in the photo. In the background is the water of the lake that the duck is in. Ripples are visible on the water emanating from where the duck's body is. The duck has a number of droplets of water on the top of its head.
