W tle dominują masywne kolumny i geometryczna fasada budynku, nadające scenie monumentalny, miejski charakter.

The parasitic mushrooms of the sulphur caves of Exoplanet 14352.
Every eight years the mushrooms begin their life cycle, lifting their button heads out of the darkness, to soak in the weak sunlight. They then burrow deeper into the caves with weak acids, eating the sulphur and eventually launching spoor out of the cave, to grow and dig their own caves.

This is a photo of a flower. It is the close detail of the centre of a flower. The yellow with red veined petals are creating a deep cave in the middle of the flower, the place where bees collect their pollen. Sticking out of the centre is the stamen of the flower. There is one green round button in the centre stamen, and around it are six white fuzzy things that could be bath sponges. They are coming out of the dark and could be mushrooms on a different planet. Really, they could be.

#blackandwhite #photography #LumixFX12Project

I just bought an old used Lumix DMC-FX12 7MP camera for 65€ from a camera store in my town. Originally I just wanted to use it as a camera for training my skills because it is very small. I normally shoot on film. But now it turned out that taking photos with the limitations and performance of this little camera became a fascinating challenge and a project itself.

A top-down view of chevron-shaped paving tiles. Three tiles meet at each vertex. The paving looks like interlocking cubes because one set of tiles are grey and the rest are light grey/brown.

A Silent Vessel in Stone.

Stanley, Tasmania, Australia.

#Photo #Photography #Australia #Tasmania #Urn #Monochrome #BlackAndWhite #StoneCarving #MemorialArt #Textures

A black and white photograph highlighting an weathered stone urn finial atop a rectangular masonry pillar. Strong overhead lighting casts sharp shadows, emphasising the rough, pitted texture and lichens clinging to the carved stone. In the softly blurred background, a dense leafy hedge and the silhouette of a distant palm tree sit beneath a bright sky.

A close-up photograph of two small tortoiseshell butterflies resting atop a cluster of pale pink flowering blossoms. The butterfly in the foreground has its wings spread wide, revealing rich orange and reddish-brown patterns bordered with crisp black markings, pale yellow patches, and a rim of tiny blue crescent spots. Soft, warm sunlight illuminates the fine textures of the petals and the butterfly's furry thorax. In the background, lush green foliage is softly blurred, creating a serene and warm natural atmosphere.
