A dramatic low-angle perspective looking through a narrow, vertical crevice between two rugged, weathered grey rocks. Patches of pale lichen and deep fissures texture the stone faces. Above the rocky cleft, an overcast sky hangs heavy with diffuse grey clouds, through which a pale, hazy sun burns like a soft luminescent sphere, framing a distant sliver of misty, open ground below.

Large, translucent, solid-colour graphics with multiple cutouts have been applied to a series of four large window panes. Red, green, yellow, blue. Through the gaps we see a blue sky, the concrete tops of another part of the same building and a leafy tree. Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, UK. Photo by Gearóid Burke.

Black and white picture taken at Pfaffental station showing a woman at the left end of an opening in the concrete eating a sandwich. She is turned towards her smartphone installed against the pillar so that she can watch it without holding it. On the right the lunch bag is placed at the other end of the opening, near a closed door in the perpendicular wall. Many trees in the background appear in the distance.
