Not every portrait needs a pose.
Two women, a spontaneous moment and the atmosphere of Smurfbar on Soi Buakhao.
This is the side of Pattaya I like to photograph — real people, real moments.

Pirate Tower at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, California, catching the warm late-day light. Tucked against the cliff and looking like it belongs in another time, it’s one of those wonderfully unexpected sights along the Southern California coast.

![The image depicts two individuals in a setting that appears to be an old-fashioned medicine cabinet or store. On the left, there is a person wearing what looks like historical attire with a white headscarf and apron, suggesting they may have been playing a role such as a pharmacist or assistant from a past era. They are standing slightly turned towards their right side, not directly facing the camera.
On the right stands another individual holding up a large poster or advertisement titled "PALUDISMO," which includes text in both Spanish and Latin American languages. The visible part of the poster features bold headlines such as “Una sola gota de su sangre” (A single drop of your blood) followed by various phrases emphasizing health benefits, compliance with public health authorities' recommendations, and a reference to an organization "Comision Nacional Para La Erradicacion Del Paludismo" which suggests efforts against malaria. The poster also includes the name 'Asistencia,' possibly referring to Asistencialia or a similar term related to assistance.
Behind them is a shelf stocked with various pharmaceutical products including bottles of pills, jars containing powders and liquids, boxes that appear to contain medical supplies, and several containers labeled "ACTOGEN," which might be an antiseptic product. A summer thunderstorm rolls across Pecos National Historical Park in New Mexico. Thunder in the distance, lightning along the horizon, and sunlight breaking through behind me, lighting the adobe ruins against that deep blue stormy sky. One of my favorite things about summer in New Mexico.
