St Francis Bay. Never seen so many snakes in one place as I did on that farm. This is a juvenile Skaarpsteker . Name means Sheep Striker , got that name as farmers years ago believed the these small snakes killed sheep! Back fanged and a mild venom which has NO effect on humans.

Through the Trusses

📷️ Ricoh GRIIIX

#photography #photo #fotografie #color #ricoh #blackandwhite #monochrome #blackandwhitephotography #MonochromeMonday #Fotomontag #PhotoMonday #architecture

This black-and-white photograph captures a view of the city through a massive metal structure — the trusses of a overpass. Dark, heavy diagonals of pipes and beams form a dense geometric grid in the foreground. Through this "frame," the light silhouette of a building with a turret and a spire topped with a weather vane is visible. The background is a gray, cloudy sky. The image is built on the contrast between heavy, industrial metal and light, classical architecture, conveying the image of an "unnoticed" city that reveals itself only through this graphic barrier.

📍 Torrelavega. Cantabria.

Descripción en #alttext

#photography #photo #fotografia #color #food #travel #foodphotography

“Old school builders”

Lego bricks as we know them were invented in 1958, after several years of research and development into the material and shape of the bricks.

The bricks of that era can still be used today, along with more recent bricks, to build all kinds of models.

Unfortunately, this Nosferatu spider (Zoropsis spinimana) will have to figure out how to survive outdoors now 🤷‍♂️

It crawled out of a cardboard box that had been in the house when it was cut apart for recycling.

Originally from the Mediterranean, these spiders prefer warmer indoor temperatures, but my wife is not very understanding 😬✌️

The #CleanUp of the #Photos #App on the #iPhone gets better and better. Before #iOS 27, removing such shadows without interfering with the handrail and its shadow would have been close to impossible.

from a recent venture into a random back alleyway #photography #janacore #architecture

A photo up a corner of a modernist building, almost futurist. Made of a lot of glass, framed by dark golden brown, brass metal cladding. Some hidden by vertical blinds. All reflective, showing hints of green in the metal reflection. The blown out sky tints a contrasty white into the photo

A photo down a narrow alleyway with modern buildings and structures filling most of it. It’s reflective, showing a green blue scene of more glass, plants and sky. The overall structure is a bit confusing.

A photo up a walkway in the blown out sky, made of big metal panels, running from the right to the left, vanishing on the roof of a different equally weird structure

In today's twisted saying.
There are two paths to follow; one leans on the other. Can there be understanding with just one, or are both needed?
There is a lot of extra art to see in the post. Or enjoy the spot-the-difference.
