We had another #mantis visitor last week! This is the first brown one I've spotted. I saw my first one ever at my parents' place last year, and now they're everywhere here (an hour north of them). 😅 The survivor I posted two weeks ago came back for another photo session on the drive (put it in the wildflower plot afterwards), then I saw a crushed one on our street, and found one drowned in a pot of water I'd forgotten in the garden. 🙈
This one spent the whole day at eye level on a white wall by our drive, and I managed to take a few photos.

Edit: this Toot will get edited when new tags are shared.

A vintage-style sepia photograph, presented as if on a film strip with sprocket holes and artificial scratches, captures a concentrated moment. Cynni is crouching on natural, rocky terrain among sparse bushes at Burgers' Zoo, fully focused on framing a picture. They look intently through the viewfinder of a black Nikon Coolpix P500 digital bridge camera, which they hold firmly with both hands. Their expression is one of deep concentration as they peer through the lens. Their left arm, featuring a complex stylized text tattoo, is bent, and a few rings are visible on their fingers gripping the camera body. They wear a dark short-sleeved t-shirt, camouflage cargo pants, and a dark baseball cap with white sunglasses perched on top. A Nikon-branded camera strap hangs around their neck. The background is a natural-looking zoo enclosure with other blurred figures of visitors visible in the far distance. The composition is a candid, close-up shot emphasizing their focus.

An extremely blurry, abstract close-up of the metallic warming rack from a toaster. The curved, silvery metal bars flow in soft, out-of-focus lines against a textured, blue-gray background, creating a minimalist aesthetic.

"Roller Toaster III"

An abstract, highly out-of-focus photograph titled "Roller Toaster". It shows a close-up of the curved metal wires of a toaster's bun warmer. The intense motion blur makes the metallic lines streak across a light beige background, creating a dynamic, almost fluid appearance.

#MinimalismMonday + #MonochromeMonday

I originally took this for FotoVorschlag (Numbers 4) but then I found a better one for that. So here's an ultra low key Monday for ya.

Four dark, parallel power lines stretch horizontally through the frame against a background of moody storm clouds with faint patches of lighter gray light breaking through.
