Red On The Head (t)

Gulo is a solitary animal. Most wolverines are. He wanders the Mojave desert. He has immediate family members who live in the Northwestern United States, but, they are wusses and Gulo left that area a long time ago because the other wolverines were so needy. Always wanting handouts and protection. The only time Gulo has contact with other wolverines is when he gets really...

Balanoor Vontekad Washed by Naivo

Another one from naivo, continuing my provisional quest to find good Indian naturals and washed processed coffees. My impression so far has been disappointing compared to the usual fermentation processed coffees I tend to get. Anyway, let's get to how this one tastes.

The first time I brewed this, it tasted of walnut with a very mild fruit like acidity and some bitterness which was more apparent in the first few sips.

But after that first cup, I had a hard time with the bitterness overpowering everything else. After a lot of trial and error, I got to an OK place with the bitterness but the brew overall became more muted and empty. Wasn't trash by any means but not great either.

Stenen sculptuur, in Mexico, Ed van der Elsken, 1960

#Mexico #EdvanderElsken #Mayan #fotografie #photography #EdVanDerElsken #EdvanderElsken

http://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/RP-F-2019-298-4-28

This image displays a striking black and white photograph of an ancient stone sculpture's face. The texture is rough, with deep grooves etched into the rock that suggest age and wear from time or natural elements. Notably, there are horizontal lines running across what appears to be the top part of the headpiece, possibly indicating layers within the structure. There’s a pronounced eye visible amidst these features, showing evidence of erosion but also hinting at an attempt by artisans in creating human-like characteristics on stone. The image is stark with high contrast between light and dark areas that enhance its dramatic effect. This sculpture seems to be part of a larger monument or installation as suggested by the surrounding stones which partially frame this feature within what could potentially constitute a more extensive artwork or ceremonial piece, reminiscent of ancient Mayan sculptures found in Mexico.

My FX12 now got partnered by a Lumix FS16 accidentally. Today I played around with the sepia tone in the iA mode which gives fantastic shots but not for every scenery. This one here is very good.
