Good kite surfing weather

#Photography #Darktable #Brisbane #Meanjin #Sandgate #Queensland #Kitesurfing #Kiteboarding #Beach #Ocean #Seascape #BlueSky #OMSystem #Olympus #MicroFourThirds

A man walks across a grassy bank towards the sea, seen from behind. He wears a black top, black cap with neck guard, black shorts and a black harness around his waist, and carries a red and white striped kiteboard under one arm. Below the bank is a wide beach with long shallow pools of water between sand bars, and a few other people are near the water. The sea is blue-green with small white waves, and low grey hills sit on the horizon. The sky is bright blue with a band of white cloud, and a dark kitesurfing kite is in the air above the water to the left. The foreground grass is dry and brown, with taller green grass, a few weathered wooden posts and a tree stump at lower right, and a sparse shrub at the right edge.

The willie-wagtail kept harassing the crow. There must have been 50 birds in the area, but only this single crow caught the ire of the willie, who would come back every time the crow re-appeared

A large black Torresian Crow stands on short green grass and takes up most of the left and centre of the frame. Its body is side on with its tail pointing to the right, and its head is turned back so that its open beak points up and to the right. Its eye is pale blue with a dark centre, and its wing feathers have a dark blue sheen. In the upper right of the frame, a much smaller black and white willie wagtail is in the air with its wings spread and its tail fanned out, as it is caught mid swoop in a dive towards the crow. The small bird is slightly blurred from movement. The grass in the background is out of focus.
