Then you're left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower, I think your love would be too much
Or you’ll be left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower, you're the sunflower

🇬🇧 horizontal colour photograph of an oak tree against the backlight of the sun on a slightly misty December morning. Rays of sunlight pierce the mist through the bare branches. The sky is blue, the grass green, and the silhouette of the tree is rendered in various shades of dark brown. This is ‘my oak tree’, just a stone’s throw from my home. 😊

Driving slowly to the bridge
With nothing left that we can give
We smile at this ugly world
It never really suited you
Old songs leave long shadows
Makes you shut down all your emotions

#MontreTonCiel

Yesterday at 8:13 p.m., the #sun had officially set one minute earlier, and at 8:17 p.m., the #moon—88% illuminated—was reflected in a #puddle among the rocks, above Venus’s belt.
The last beachgoers were leaving under a very faint sun pillar.

Sipping my morning coffee and watching some large, illuminated circles moving around on the west wall.

Wait… What???

Apparently, pin-hole camera effect for sunlight passing between sycamore leaves, entering through the kitchen window, and striking the west wall.

Or aliens 🤔

On a white wall, several overlapping circles of light. The circles are about 9 inches / 23 cm in diameter.

Photo taken through the kitchen window. The sun in the east is shining brightly through small gaps in the leafy canopy of a sycamore tree. Shadows on the green lawn stretch toward the house.

Waking the city

Color image of sunrise in Akron, Summit County, Ohio, USA, 24 September 2026. Image shows the sky orange at the horizon lighting up a long, thin gauzy cloud deck in brilliant orange, red, yellow, gray, and blue hues, blue sky above brightening at dawn, with the city still asleep below, the buildings still lit by their overnight lighting.

#photography #triptyque #halo #soleil #Bretagne #Finistere #sun

When visiting Mount Martha a few months ago I took a morning walk with some friends along the Balcombe Estuary Boardwalk Circuit. It's an absolutely gorgeous walk. The place is beautiful, and the thick trees provide a nice shade that allows the sunlight to filter through in a very satisfying way.

I'm dropping this in as a #shittember entry. In my eyes, the focus isn't really great on the image and I can't get the lighting dynamics quite right. I like the image but posting this one makes me a bit uncomfortable, and (at least to me) #shittember is somewhat about easing up on yourself, freeing yourself of those performance criteria, and just doing it anyway, so here it is.
