A natural #window to the #Mountains

The upper part of the ascent to #Wendelstein is a steep path carved into the rock, with a short, dark tunnel. This was the beautiful view through one of the ventilation holes.

Twice during the hike up #Wendelstein,
I thought I ran across a patch of Elephant skin lying around. I wonder what carved these fine lines in different directions? Scale: both stones are ~30cm across.
