The Mountains Flowed Before Him (2026)

(Given a large enough time scale, these mountains would be almost like waves...)

#SilentSunday #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #BlackAndWhite #NoirCountry #Alps #Mountains #Hiking

B&W photo of a high alpine landscape with intense folds and strata in the rocks. Small meadows and groups of Swiss pine trees on the more shallow sections, basking in the sun. A large cumulus cloud is creating an almost plain background.

Just sharing this reminder of a really glorious day in the #mountains .
I spent quite a bit of time to find exactly THIS spot so that fore and midground blended so well together.

And currently I'm having this as a background image in teams. Sometimes I wonder if this might look unprofessional - and then I think "maybe I don't care".

A stunning landscape featuring a serene lake surrounded by majestic mountains and vibrant yellow flowers. The scene is set under a clear blue sky with fluffy white clouds adding to the picturesque view. The foreground is dominated by black trees and plants, creating a contrast with the bright yellow flowers. The image captures the essence of a peaceful wilderness, with lush green grass leading up to the tranquil lake. The overall color palette is accentuated by a warm golden hue, giving a feeling of a sunny summer day in nature.

Small village in #ticino, #alps

#hikingadventures #mountainmonday

The image depicts a serene mountainous landscape with a small stone house nestled in a grassy valley. In the foreground, large boulders are scattered across the green grass, with a few trees displaying autumn foliage in shades of orange and yellow. The stone house, with its dark roof and wooden windows, is situated on the right side of the image, surrounded by a few smaller structures. The background features towering, rugged mountains with steep, rocky faces, partially covered by trees that exhibit the vibrant colors of fall. The sky is partly cloudy, with sunlight illuminating the mountains and casting shadows, enhancing the depth and texture of the scene.

A juvenile Alpine ibex stands on a pale limestone outcrop and looks directly into the camera. Its short, slightly curved horns are backlit against a deep green forest of conifers filling the background, with tufts of grass growing along the edge of the rock.

Lake Starnberg in the evening

#mountainmonday #alps #photography

«Fly Agaric»
Photo ©️ Dietmar Bachmann

This picture shows why the fly agaric is called the fly agaric. 🪰🍄 Mostly just called #toadstool in english speaking countries, as far as I know.

I took this photo whilst on a lovely hike in the Bernese #Alps in #Switzerland 🇨🇭 near the famous peaks 🏔️ Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
