Pupu woke up early. We can't possibly know their sex and we may never know. In a few weeks Pupu's parents will begin to train them in the arts of flying and procuring their own food.

Smiling Robin is a watercolor painting in portrait format hand-painted by the artist Karen Kaspar.

Info: Jasmin Siddiqui (Hera) from Germany paints beautiful pictures that are narrative and contain handwritten text boxes. Her style is second to none. From rough sweeps from the spray can to fine curved strokes with a long stick as an aid to precise color effects, some of which are applied with a brush - the creation process alone is an experience. She is also part of the artist duo HerAkut.

An adult male bluebird. His mouth is full of meal worms. He is feeding them to a young bluebird whose mouth is wide open. The young bluebird is almost as big as the adult.

Adult: Blue back and wings, red chest, yellow belly, big black solid eye
Juvenile: Back and wings are bluish-grey; chest and belly are white with brown markings, small eye with brown iris and black pupil, like a teddy bear's eye.
