Two Worlds

📷️ Ricoh GRIIIX

#photography #photo #fotografie #color #ricoh #blackandwhite #monochrome #blackandwhitephotography #MonochromeMonday #Fotomontag #PhotoMonday #architecture #reflection

This black-and-white photograph captures the facade of a modern glass building reflecting an urban landscape. The frame is built on the contrast between reality and reflection: on the left, the glass wall itself is visible with its frames, a diagonal shadow, and grass at its base, while the right side is occupied by the reflection — a cloudy sky, a streetlamp, a fence, trees, a road sign, and the silhouettes of cars. The round fasteners on the glass serve as points of contact between the two worlds. The image conveys the atmosphere of a quiet, almost surreal urban scene, where reality and its reflection merge into a single whole.

Yesterday we had strange clouds in northern Germany, partially hiding the sun and strange beams of light emitted from the sun in the blue sky.

Black and white photograph taken at the end of a long, narrow, high tunnel, showing a bright light at the other end, like the light seen by a person approaching death. In reality, it is a long corridor in a medieval French castle, with stone walls pierced by very small windows, and a wooden roof and structures supporting it. A ceiling window also sends light along the walls halfway.

Black and white close-up photograph of a slightly faded rose, in natural light, taken from the side, also showing the top of its stem and its first leaf. The wrinkled texture and wavy edge of its petals are apparent.

Fort Napoleon

A high-contrast perspective looking through a narrow, stone-walled loophole toward a bright opening.

The stone floor, walls, and ceiling converge sharply toward the center of the frame, creating a powerful sense of depth and a tunnel vision effect.

The walls and floor are constructed from heavily textured, uneven blocks of stone or brick, characteristic of ancient fortifications.

A narrow dirt path cuts through a tunnel-like avenue of mature trees, bathed in warm, golden light from a late afternoon sun.

The track is lined with grass illuminated in vibrant shades of gold and yellow where the sunlight hits, casting long shadows across the dark earth.

Tall, thick tree trunks border both sides of the path, their dark bark contrasting sharply with the bright foliage. Their upper branches interlock to form a dense canopy overhead.
