„Maurisches Kachelmosaik (Zellij) aus der Alhambra“

#Fotovorschlag #Muster #GeometricPattern #IslamicArt #MoorishArchitecture #TileMosaic #Zellij #PatternDesign #ArtHistory #Alhambra #Symmetry #Texture #TextureTuesday #Photography #art #myphoto

🇬🇧 A detailed Moorish tile mosaic (Zellij) featuring an intricate geometric pattern. The mosaic consists of interlocking, curved shapes in white, dark brown, ochre, and blue, creating a dynamic, flowing texture. Regular rows of small six-pointed stars and white hexagons are arranged within the gaps. The stars vary in colors including dark blue, green, orange, and brown. The pattern displays a mathematically precise symmetry typical of Islamic art, with slight signs of aging along the bottom edges.

Neighborhood Summer Sunset - A simple moment sunset on a neighborhood street in Midwest America. Made in my home town of Homewood, Illinois - USA. Sometimes our lives can get so busy that we miss moments like this even if for a simple moment in time. Because it is in the simple moments that have lasting impressions on us.

I really like taking photos, and I'd like more people to see them!

A few months ago I got a Nikon D5300 with a Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens, and here's a smol peek into some of what I've made with it so far.

Landscape at sunset, photographed through a gap between large rocks atop a mountain. One rock juts out into the centre, covered with a sprinkling of snow. Behind it, below, are some leafless trees. Between them and the clearly visible horizon are many smaller, forested hills, and some villages, all covered by a gentle, blueish winter mist. The sky is a soft orange, yellow and lavender, with a tiny scattering of clouds far away. The whole scene has a very trainquil feeling.

What an amazing #SolarEclipse we witnessed this week! I photographed it from Peñafiel in the north of #Spain, home to a beautiful castle that provided the perfect foreground for the spectacular #eclipse. No picture can do it justice though: there's no substitute to actually seeing a total eclipse in person.

$A photograph of a dimly lit castle silhouetted against the dusk sky. It's a combination of multiple exposures, with the Sun appearing as a sequence of discs crossing the sky diagonally above the castle. A progressively smaller fraction of the Sun is visible as the eclipse progresses. Right above the castle the eclipse reaches the total phase, with the Sun completely blocked by the Moon, revealing a fiery corona around it. The sequence continues towards the horizon, with the Sun progressively reappearing.$

Photo of Danish Pastry, the Mastodon stuffed toy, being held in the arm of a life-sized Batman statue outdoors during a bright, sunny morning. The bottom-up shot is pointed up towards the bronze "Batman" sculpture by Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra, based on artwork by Jim Lee. The sculpture of Batman is standing with a stern expression, facing straight forward as he holds Danish Pastry between his right fist and hip, his cape draping over his left arm.
