Standing very near the trunk of a large oak and looking straight up into the canopy. Branches split and go this way and that, all terminating in bushy drafts of leaves with bits of blue sky peeking in here and there. This is the best way to look at a tree. Close enough to touch its bark and feel its size.

The #CleanUp of the #Photos #App on the #iPhone gets better and better. Before #iOS 27, removing such shadows without interfering with the handrail and its shadow would have been close to impossible.

St Francis Bay. Never seen so many snakes in one place as I did on that farm. This is a juvenile Skaarpsteker . Name means Sheep Striker , got that name as farmers years ago believed the these small snakes killed sheep! Back fanged and a mild venom which has NO effect on humans.
