River scene in warm evening light with a stone arch bridge in the background. A bridge pier on the left is covered in colorful graffiti lettering, largely in red and beige. In front of it lies a wide gravel bank that gives way to dark, still water in the foreground. The water holds the dark silhouette of the bridge as a diffuse, triangular shape, broken by a bright, point-like reflection of light at its center. Dense trees grow in the background on the right, with a staircase leading up to the bridge behind them. The lower portion of the frame is fully dark.

Color image of a single drifting cloud against a gauzy fall morning's sunrise, Bath Township, Summit County, Ohio, USA 22 September 2026. Image shows a cloud's dark belly and orange/brown edges as the sun begins to rise, coloring the sky greens and oranges and browns in the dust, the branches of pines and oaks framing the shot.

A dog-erreotype (sorry not sorry) which is one of the oldest photographs of a pet in the world, from around 1846.

I found myself crouching on the ground again earlier today in the forest, next to a large log absolutely covered in these mushrooms. https://buff.ly/nbiRO6B

#photography #Nature #Autumn #Fungi #mycology

A close-up, eye-level photograph of a cluster of small wild mushrooms growing from a decaying woodland log. In the foreground, rounded caps with creamy-yellow edges and warm reddish-brown centres are in sharp focus. Slender pale stems support the tight grouping. In the softly blurred background, another scattered colony of smaller pale mushrooms recedes into cool teal and shadowy woodland tones. The overall atmosphere is quiet, damp, and earthy with a cool, autumnal mood.
