![The image depicts a rural scene captured in black and white. It shows an open field with sparse vegetation, under a partly cloudy sky which suggests it might be either early morning or late afternoon due to the softness of light. A group of horses is present; some are standing while others appear to be grazing on grass. The most notable subject is a person riding one of the white horses in the foreground, suggesting movement through the field. This rider wears casual clothing and a hat for sun protection, indicating outdoor activity possibly related to farming or rural livelihoods.
Around them, there are several other individuals who seem engaged with various tasks. Some people stand close by the grazing animals, while others walk along a dirt path that cuts across the scene. The presence of sheep in the field indicates pastoral activities such as shepherding. In the background, more trees and possibly distant hills or mountains can be seen under an expansive sky.

I must admit that I for the first time have started playing the camera on my Jolla Phone 2026. A new pro camera is being developed. Photos are taken faster, with far more details and with RAW support. And on GitHub one can see that Jolla has done work on the default camera app as well. Yay! #SailfishOS #Photography #CameraApps #Camera

Vision of another era
We were lucky to see some of the last caribou south of the St. Lawrence River at the summit of Mont Jacques-Cartier. They are the last representatives of the large herds of woodland caribou that once occupied southern Quebec.
The woodland caribou herd of the mountain ecotype is now estimated at about 30 animals in the park.
