Black and white photograph of a forest of leafless birches and evergreens on one side of a hill, with snow on the forest floor and low fog right in the middle. A light spiral filter was applied on the picture, creating a torsion in the fog and bending some trees.

I've been looking at this picture for weeks, unsatisfied and not knowing what I would do with it. I woke up too early this morning, feeling like reality is distorted and bent under human will. This picture is still real but has something wrong, like it might break.

Friday promises

My green lemon tree has been my companion all winter, close to my desk and window. It is now full of flowers, bathing in the sun, and I even see tiny green lemons for the first time. It is very heartwarming, especially with snow on the ground when I look outside.

A monochrome, square-format photo of a rural winter scene. It is snowing. We can see flakes against the silhouette of trees on the right. Plough marks in the empty rice paddies on either side of a road have been highlighted by snow which is starting to stick. The road however, is wet. Gaggles of umbrellard school children are making their way home tracing the curve of the road as it stretches towards the horizon. Behind them and nearest the viewer is a T-junction, thin plastic bollards marking the edge of the road and a pedestrian crossing.

Ich wollte heute eigentlich an einem Soundbath teilnehmen, das aber wegen technischer Probleme verlegt werden musste. Auf dem Weg zurück nach Hause stand der Himmel in Flammen. Der Hafen bot die perfekte Kulisse!
