Glass Rhythm

📷️ Ricoh GRIIIX

#photography #photo #fotografie #color #ricoh #blackandwhite #monochrome #blackandwhitephotography #MonochromeMonday #Fotomontag #PhotoMonday #architecture #minimalism

This black-and-white photograph captures the facade of a modern building, shot from a low angle looking upward. A row of identical glass bay windows with dark metal frames stretches into the distance, creating a strict, repeating rhythm and a strong perspective. Clouds and the gray sky are reflected in the glass, making the building appear almost transparent and dissolving into the air. Inside, behind the glass, white columns are faintly visible. The image is built on pure geometry, rhythm, and the play of reflections, conveying the image of modern, minimalist urban architecture.

Macro photograph of raindrops suspended along grass stems and struck by the morning sun, against a pink background. Each drop reflects the light and acts as a lens, containing within it the image of the coneflower (echinacea) flower that lies behind and which gives this pink hue to the image. The drops in the foreground are sharp, others are blurred behind and the furthest ones in the background create bokeh light points.

🚢 All aboard the Fun Ship! TSS Duke of Lancaster, moored near Mostyn Docks in North Wales

The ship was installed here in 1979, and it was dubbed the "Fun Ship." This clever business venture allowed the owner to circumvent Sunday trading laws (as these didn't apply to ships). It closed in 2004.

In 2012 graffiti artists from Europe and the UK were commissioned to spray murals. In 2017 the ship was repainted black!
