Happy Defaidon Day! Here are a couple of rather splendid Welsh rams I photographed back in the spring.

A pair of rams with curly horns are grazing in a rough field. They are Welsh mountain sheep. The one on the left is looking at the camera, the one on the right seems more interested in the grass.

A dirt path winds through a field of heather, dotted with grazing sheep. The sky is awash with vibrant colors. The sun, positioned low on the horizon, casts long shadows across the path and the surrounding landscape. A tree stands tall to the right, its silhouette stark against the colorful sky. The path is lined with a flock of sheep, their white wool contrasting against the heather. Some sheep are grazing along the path, while others wander further into the field.

A large flock of sheep in a misty, atmospheric landscape.

The sheep are mostly cream or off-white with thick, shaggy coats. There are several dark-faced or entirely black sheep interspersed throughout the group, adding contrast.

Heavy fog or mist dominates the upper half of the frame, obscuring the distance and creating a moody, somewhat mysterious aesthetic

Weekend (Pastoral Landscape, Portrait Orientation)

A peaceful rural scene featuring sheep resting and standing in a grassy pasture under a dramatic, cloudy sky.

In the foreground, a heavily fleeced sheep with small, curved horns is resting comfortably on the green grass. It is positioned in the lower-left to center-left area, looking directly forward toward the camera with a calm expression.

A larger, standing sheep with a very long, shaggy, dark grey-to-black fleece is positioned further back on the right side of the frame. It is turned slightly to the left, appearing to look across the field.

The sheep are on a vast, green meadow with patchier, dry grass mixed in. In the far background, a dense line of lush green trees forms a soft barrier between the field and the horizon.

#GutenMorgen Fediland. ☕🐑
Exil.
