Remnant of Summer

Leipzig 09/26

#photography #street #streetphotography #minimalist #contrast #color #colorstreet #urban #leipzig #summer

The image shows a close-up, low-angle view of a rusty metal fence against a bright blue sky with a few wispy white clouds. The fence is composed of several vertical spikes and a horizontal bar. The spikes are pointed and have a weathered appearance, with patches of rust and some greenish discoloration, likely due to oxidation.

The most prominent object in the image is a waffle cone, broken and placed precariously on top of the uppermost spike of the fence. The cone is light brown, with the characteristic grid pattern of a waffle. It is positioned slightly off-center to the right, creating a focal point.

Yellow

Leipzig 09/26

#photography #street #streetphotography #minimalist #contrast #color #colorstreet #urban #leipzig #yellow

The image depicts an urban street scene bathed in strong sunlight and shadows. The primary focus is on a cyclist in the foreground and a bright yellow car to the right.

The cyclist, a man wearing a vibrant yellow sweater and dark pants, is in motion, riding a bicycle with a large black cargo bag attached to the rear. The bicycle is mostly silhouetted against the bright street, making its details less distinct. The cyclist is looking forward, seemingly focused on his ride.

To the right of the cyclist is a compact yellow car, possibly a Fiat Panda, parked or moving slowly. The car has a roof rack and a black trim running along its side. The bright yellow of the car stands out against the muted tones of the building and the road.

A graffiti showing Andy Warhol and the famous citation “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes”. Somebody striked the second line through with a spray bottle and wrote “filmed 24/7”. Above the graffiti there is surveillance camera fixed to the wall.

🇬🇧 horizontal monochrome low-angle photo of a monument column at the top of which an angel is illuminated by the sun. The sky in the background is immaculate, just crossed from the bottom left of the image to practically the top right of it by the trace of a jet plane, which can be seen at the very end. Like an arrow from an angel crossing the vault.

Le ciel en arrière plan est immaculé, juste traversé du bas gauche de l'image jusque pratiquement au haut droit de celle-ci par la trace d'un avion à réaction, qu'on distingue tout au bout. Comme une flèche d'un ange traversant la voûte.

This is a black and white street photo in landscape format of a young Asian man sitting on a pavement, legs crossed, beer can in one hand and talking in a mobile phone held in the other hand. Little India, Singapore (2015).

Extending away from the lower left corner upwards and diagonally through the centre and up to the top of the photo is the pavement. Three large flower pots filled with lush tropical plants line the pavement between the lower left corner and the centre of the image. In the centre of the photo and sitting on the pavement next to the last flower pot is our young Asian (Indian) man. The camera is located a metre above the quiet road: in the road, a metre from the pavement and angled towards the man. The first two flower pots are gently blurred out of focus as is anything beyond our man. He is sitting crossed legged at the front edge of the pavement with his feet and knees overhanging the road, the rest of his body obscured behind the flower pot. He is leaning forwards with his head just in front of the plants. He has dark, slightly curly hair, is wearing a long sleeved dark shirt and dark shorts. His feet are bare with his sandals placed neatly together on the road. In his right hand is the beer can and in his left the mobile phone, held up to his left ear. The quiet street stretches from the centre of the image to the right edge. The road's top surface is peeling away from the underneath.

Photo of a street at night, running in a wide curve across a small stream valley in the middle of the town. Two cars are approaching the viewer, casting patches of light on the asphalt. The glare of the nearest car’s headlights reflects off a lorry heading in the other direction. An advertising screen on a building in the background appears as a bright white rectangle near the centre of the scene.

Red

Leipzig 09/26

Remember colorkeys? They were all the rage at some point, but fell out of fashion quickly. But this "natural colorkey" caught my eye.

#photography #street #streetphotography #minimalist #contrast #color #colorstreet #urban #leipzig #texturetuesday #colorkey

The image captures a section of an urban outdoor scene. The dominant element on the left is a bright red rectangular dispenser, standing upright. It has a hinged door with a small black lock near the bottom and a rectangular opening near the top.

The background wall is a textured surface composed of small, raised horizontal lines, a common architectural feature. Superimposed on this textured wall are larger square and triangular tiles of a lighter, grayish concrete material. Some of these tiles, particularly those on the upper left and upper right, bear faint graffiti marks in a gray tone. The arrangement of the tiles creates a geometric pattern, with squares and triangles interspersing.

It's A Car Park

(Details In The #AltText) (Mispelt by Human)

(Probably A Repeat)

This is a colour abstract photo in landscape format of the front of a small multi-story city car park (I believe automated) with a striped chequered patten alternating red and yellow. Singapore (2012).

The entire photo is filled with the front of this car park. Stretching across the front are alternating fabric stripes made up of yellow and red horizontal rectangular rectangles. Each one is about two metres long and one metre high. Above each multi-coloured (bi-coloured) stripe is a clear strip where the structure of the car park is visible. The interior is made up from multiple vertical grey girders, plus the odd diagonal crossbeam for added strength. Just visible are the car sized platforms that the cars rest on, that appear to have two parallel grooves for the tyre to rest on with a slightly elevated section in the centre. Also visible is the occasional illuminated neon light. Above the clear strip is a further multi-coloured stripe and so the pattern repeats with four coloured stripes and three clear strips contained in the photo - But no cars ? (The photo was taken early in the morning, just after sunrise).
