“I am learning every day to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be to inspire me and not terrify me. I can even ask for help! Not feeling that I have to know everything… that’s where the growth comes in, in the not knowing.” ~ Tracee Ellis Ross

Chalk on blackboard sign noting "Work in Progress" wooden sign in garden. Dried leaves cover the dirt ground with gold and red bare branches of dormant plants beyond the sign with a few green leaves sprouting from the earth in the background.

The beginning of a new painting...

First, I searched through my photos taken over the last few years for sparrow photos and printed out a selection for inspiration.

Then I made some pencil sketches as warm up…

Super #niche: I received this book last year and finally started reading (muddling through) it. It's a 700-page #Kannada commentary on a 350+ years old #Sanskrit scholarly work about events in the life of Krishna.🪈

The original "shree-krishna-chaarithrya-manjaree" is by Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swami and is only 28 verses (112 lines).📜
