Three months later after searching for 55 years and my heart is aching, feeling the longing, longing for you

Two geese on the reflective water surface of a creek near a shoreline with trees, other plants, a decorative brown metal fence an two gray metal piers in the background. The water surface is reflecting a blue sky overhead and nearby trees with their green leaves.

"If we are to achieve a richer culture, rich in contrasting values, we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities, and so weave a less arbitrary social fabric, one in which each diverse human gift will find a fitting place." ~ Margaret Mead

Pine Creek, PA
- a tributary of French Creek

Deep in the woods, resetting my mind before things get busy 😊

A narrow creek flows through lush green woods, with gentle ripples in the foreground and a thin layer of mist hovering over the calm water farther upstream. Dense vegetation lines both banks beneath a leafy canopy.

Monday 🙃
Already thinking about where to go this weekend 🤔

#FlyFishing #Fishing #Creek #Hiking #Walking #Nature #Photography

A slightly high, murky creek flows through dense green woodland in the rain. Lush vegetation and tall trees line the banks, with exposed roots and fallen branches along the water’s edge.

#MushroomMonday

Eastern jack-o'lantern mushroom

A big surprise while fishing deep in the forest 🤩 I didn’t know what it was, so I looked it up… toxic, but it contains luciferase and glows in the dark 😮

Large clusters of vivid orange mushrooms grow on the damp forest floor beside a creek, their broad, overlapping caps glistening with moisture among wet leaves and green vegetation.

#WildlifeWednesday

Not sure what these fawns (or should I call them young deer? 🤔) were eating. They didn’t walk away until I got really close 😊

#FluorescenceFriday

Actually, it’s bioluminescence, not fluorescence 🤔
But I’d love to see these mushrooms glowing in the dark someday. They were deep in the woods, though. Hopefully, I’ll find some growing near a road next time! 🍄✨
