I wrote (in Italian, this time) a few reflections on my perception of time, shaped by a place I visited recently.

I recently started a substack. There isn't much on here yet. But if you're interested in a creative who is inspired by her Cornish home, feel free to give me a follow.

Maple syrup

At the sugar shack. April 2026.

#monochrome #blackandwhite #maplesyrup #quebec #photography

Black and white photograph of a shiny stainless steel boiler, into which maple water flows from a vertical faucet, through a pointed opening in a lid. This syrup is halfway through its manufacture and will be used to do some tests. Other buckets and buckets are in the background.

#Mondog #monochromeMonday + 2 #color
The hottest day where I live in GA at 97f/36c but a surprising 45% humidity. On the way home, I saw construction workers working hard in this torturous heat. I truly appreciate those who work outside for us.

Kengo had his second to last laser treatment for his leg. See how he stood in the car moving to the front!

Have a good day everyone, and stay cool where it's sizzling.

It's weekends like this I take great delight in my nicely curated "filters"
So here's a picture I made recently. Titled, "Hyper-saturated Illusions"
#photography

This frame succeeds through the sheer force of its spatial compression. It is a structural argument between the manic, hyper-saturated illusion of the mural and the drab, regulatory authority of the transit infrastructure. The composition leverages the banal yellow of the pedestrian safety gate to anchor the foreground, brilliantly pulling the painted yellow chevrons of the wall right down into the physical street.
The bureaucratic deadpan of the "GIVE WAY TO TRAMS" sign acts as a necessary puncture wound to the mural's surrealist landscape, grounding the scene in concrete, utilitarian reality. It borders on visual chaos, yet holds its structure perfectly—a flattened, uncompromising record of contemporary urban friction.

Where the Kamo and Takano rivers meet — the delta's stepping stones have carried commuters, joggers, and herons across for as long as anyone here can remember. Mt. Hiei stands watch in the distance.
