Nocturnal adventures with the Creature 🌃🛝🐘

#WeReallyNeedAnOfficialCreatureEmoji #Plushtodon #Merchtodon #Photo #Photography #Selfie #LetyDoesSelfies

Photo of Lety and the Creature Mastodon stuffed toy on a playground late at night. From top to bottom, she is seen wearing a pink corduroy jacket, a black sweater, a pink bouclé skirt, black leggings, and brown boots. Lety's sitting on a ladder in the central tower of a multistory playground, her left foot on a low rung and her right foot one rung higher. She's holding the Creature in front of her body, resting on her knees, the plushy so big it hides her face. The photo was taken with “Night” mode, giving the image bright, overexposed lighting even though it was taken in near-total darkness.

Post production question: Is there a simple way to remove banding/lines in my photos?

I've googled the issue and I understand _why_ it happens, but I'm sometimes forced to shoot in silent mode not to disrupt the show so I'm kinda stuck with it.
I've found a manual solution that means having to use Photoshop and pull some levers (not tried that, so I can't say how well it works), but I'm thinking in these times of AI-solutions, that there could be a simple way to remove it "with a click". I'm usually working in Adobe Lightroom, so it would be cool to know if there's a built-in solution or a filter/preset that could do the job...

ANyone else struggling with this?

Dance photography. The image has horizontal lines over it as a result of the camera's sensor and the frequency of the LED lights not working well together.

Autumn in Heaven Lebanon Hills Park Eagan Minnesota

On the whole I take it that middle age is a happier period than youth. In the entire circle of the year there are no days so delightful as those of a fine October, when the trees are bare to the mild heavens, and the red leaves bestrew the road, and you can feel the breath of winter morning and evening no days so calm, so tenderly solemn, and with such a reverent meekness in the air. ~Alexander Smith, "An Essay on an Old Subject"

Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan, MN, is a vast natural area offering over 2,000 acres of scenic landscapes, including forests, lakes, and rolling hills. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with a variety of recreational opportunities like hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, and cross-country skiing in the winter. The park also features well-maintained trails, a visitor center, and campgrounds, making it a great spot for both day trips and extended stays.

This is the result of this mornings photography outing. Hope you enjoy! with Wayne Moran Photography at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Eagan, MN.

Last colours in the meadow

Soon to be forest again

#wildflowers #bloomscrolling #flowers #meadow #rural #photography

Photograph of a meadow on the side of a small hill, showing one big spruce trees surrounded by wildflowers typical of the area: goldenrods, joe-pye weeds, cattails, various grasses, all in varying state of blooming, for a mix of greens, pinks and yellows. In the back the green forest is close, with smaller trees and bushes creeping in the meadow. The photo being taken late in the day, some sun light is still visible on top of the trees.

A jellyfish? No, take a closer look 😉 It's a frozen waterbubble.
#nature #winter #water #photography

A frozen, white water bubble on frozen water. It looks like a white jellyfish. The bottom of the water can be seen through and around it. Stones and leaves lie there.

The same motif, now from a greater distance. The white bubble, which really looks like a jellyfish, swims in the centre of the photo. Two more small bubbles can be seen at the top left of the picture. The ground beneath the frozen water is rocky, with some leaves lying there too.

This is my best photo of the #aurora last night. It was just after I parked and set up the camera. I think this was near the peak at that location, because 5 minutes later it wasn't as good. As a result, my best photo has those annoying power lines in it.

Nikon D750, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G
24mm, f/2.8, 5 seconds, ISO 2000, manual exposure & focus

#photography

Photo of Oct 10th aurora borealis. Top half of the photo has pink/magenta tint with stars visible through it. Below it, is a band of green tint but powerlines running left to right over it. Bottom quarter contains the ground - dirt in the immediate foreground, a 2 lane asphalt road beyond it, and march beyond that. In the distance near the horizon are lights from various (1-2 story) buildings.

Overturned

#Urban #Photography

A brightly coloured brick wall covered in graffiti. In front of the wall is a shopping trolley lying on its side with a bicycle leaning against it. The graffiti on the wall is in a variety of colours and styles, including letters, symbols and abstract shapes. The shopping trolley and bicycle are both in a state of disrepair, suggesting that they have been abandoned.

To confuse the unimaginative, the image is rotated 180 degrees. The shopping trolley now appears to float above the graffiti.

Let's test a near-future scheduled post from #littleFedi with this photo of a magnificently moss-laden Acer macrophyllum I came across on a short walk through the Hoh Rainforest to the banks of the Hoh River.

Safe haven

The garden is the first place I go in the morning, the last place I look at the end of the day, when the sun goes down. A warm, whimsical, perhaps messy, comforting place.
