And that’s it; 126 images, 126 days, an image per day. Sydney Roller Derby League, 2013. A great historical moment in local communities letting their freak flags fly, before the mainstream gentrified the weird away.

Have to figure out what my next post a day project will be.

D'Viants Vs. Screaming Assault Sirens. 126, of 126.

A photograph of two carriage horses rushing through the streets of Krakow, their heads and bodies blurred into sweeping shapes by their movement. The image is presented in monochrome, with only enough detail remaining to suggest the horses as they move rapidly through the scene, creating an almost abstract impression of powerful motion.

Kansas City, 1.

My first-ever visit! What a cool city, with plenty of fountains and green spaces, and lots of rich, fascinating history that I didn’t know or expect. I’ll be sharing some pics, starting with this one, in front of the beautiful facade of Union Station.

#photography #fountains #architecture #longexposure #kansascity

Vertical jets of water spurt upwards from a ring of fountains in front of a Beaux-Arts building facade with an arch flanked by columns. The fountains are reflected in the pool below, and the long-exposure shot blurs and smooths the spray. A blue sign with abstract designs is suspended inside the arch and echoes its curved top. The sign reads “Bike MS Kansas City,” promoting a fundraising campaign by the National MS Society to combat multiple sclerosis.
