Interieur van een kerk, Mexico, Ed van der Elsken, 1960

#Interieurvaneenkerk #Mexico #EdvanderElsken #Gothic #Christian #fotografie #photography #EdVanDerElsken #EdvanderElsken

http://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/RP-F-2019-242-1-78

The image depicts a black and white photograph of an indoor scene, seemingly taken in the 1960s based on its style. The setting appears to be within a church or cathedral with Gothic architectural elements such as pointed arches visible at the top edge. A large mural or painting occupies the upper portion of the walls behind people dressed in period clothing.

In the foreground, several individuals are engaged in various activities around an ornate structure that includes what looks like religious iconography—possibly a shrine or altar piece with figures and possibly Christian symbols such as crosses and statues reminiscent of saints. One person is kneeling on the floor, gazing up at another individual who stands holding something aloft—a statue perhaps—or appears to be in motion.

The people are dressed in attire that suggests historical significance, including what looks like period costumes for religious or ceremonial purposes. The overall atmosphere conveys a sense of reverence and solemnity among those present within this sacred space.

A close-up shot of vibrant crimson autumn guelder-rose leaves framing a cluster of glossy, round red berries on slender stems. Soft, warm daylight illuminates the delicate veins and serrated margins of the foliage, while the background dissolves into a dreamy, mottled bokeh of pale golden yellows, gentle greens, and blurred branches.

Abandoned...

Here we are in the middle of Leeds at 10.39am on a Saturday.

For all of three seconds, this entire scene was completely empty. 28 Days Later vibes 🧟‍♂️

Have a cracking week, people ☕️☀️

Fellesverkstedet Fab Lab, Oslo, September 2017. A maker coop offering access to woodwork, digital fabrication, electronics and printmaking facilities.
#MakerMonday #FabLab #makerspace #makers #coop #Oslo #photography

Black and white photo in a fab lab. There is a large woodworking machine in the middle of a large industrial space with distressed brick walls. The space is dark and lit with extra spotlights which are rigged onto a wooden scaffold build around the tool. A wheeled worktable is nearby has tools and implements on top of it. The photo is taken from a low angle. With the spotlights and dark, large space, the effect is somewhat that of a theatre set. Fellesverkstedet fab lab, Oslo, Norway, 5 September 2017.
