Tienhovensch Kanaal II

A serene and expansive view of a long, straight canal cutting through a lush, green landscape under a cloudy sky. On either side of the canal, vibrant green vegetation thrives, with tall grasses and various yellow wildflowers lining the banks.

The water in the canal acts as a perfect mirror, reflecting the brilliant blue of the sky and the fluffy white cumulus clouds scattered across it. The sun is positioned behind some of the clouds, creating a bright spot in the sky and a shimmering reflection on the water's surface. The reflection creates a sense of symmetry and depth in the image.

To confuse the unimaginative, this photo has been rotated 90 degrees.

I've created a 2025 calendar using bird pictures I took in 2024. It's free, so pass it on to bird-loving friends. Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OzbiOhuY4ulVrHKO7TFlZDBd9qCNHPUu/view?usp=drive_link

This photo shows the cover of the bird calendar. It's a Cooper's hawk, wings upraised and tail spread, about to take flight.

Last winter I started working on this video, and hanging out with friends in Melbourne to chase some slow shutter moments. This tube is a deep dive into elevating your time-lapse techniques. Super smooth and super lovely.

Wild apple trees

See alt text for more info

#trees #rural #wildflowers #bloomscrolling #photography

Photograph of a mature apple tree, with fresh young green leaves and covered in white flowers, alongside a paved road in the middle of other small trees, under a bright blue sky.

There are many of these apple trees in my area, in abandoned fields and along the roads. They appear to be escapees from very old orchards and they have naturalized over time. I've heard that local growers are trying to reproduce these trees, in an effort to revive ancestral varieties of apples that are well adapted to the harsh climate.

Daylight to Evening - A reminder of the magic of childhood at sunset at Twin Lakes watching a little girl with her pail and shovel playing in the calm water as the sun went down. Made me feel so alive in a way that's hard to express, but such a day of appreciation. Magic - something I always want to feel

A white surface is lined with a row of black dominoes. The dominoes are arranged in a staggered pattern. One of them is out of line, leaning over a little. It is different from the others. It shows its front instead of its back. The shadows of the dominoes are cast on the surface, adding depth to the image.

Launching again the goal for Naeema's certificate.

I hope this time we can complete it 🙏🏽

Please read her words below 💔

For more details, please read this post:
https://mastodon.social/@naeemafamily/115996040007274602

Goal progress: 17/$680

Naeema can register at university in 2 or 3 months with your support.

Let's help her have a future ❤️

A message by Naeema about the difficulty of finishing university due to financial constraints: "It hurts when you reach the end of your university journey, after years of effort, sleepless nights, and hardship, only to stop —not because you failed, but because you cannot afford to pay. The certificate becomes a dream suspended by a number and a bank account, and every step forward is tied to an amount beyond your ability. What breaks the heart the most is being ready to celebrate your hard work, yet reality asks for a price for that joy, while all you have left is patience. Our exhaustion is not small, and the pain of waiting is heavier than any exam." - Naeema

Cows

#CowsOfMastodon #Landscape #Nature #Photography

A serene, atmospheric scene in a lush green pasture at sunset. The composition is dreamlike, characterized by soft lighting and a shallow depth of field.

Two white cattle are featured. One cow stands in the center-middle ground, facing away from the camera and looking toward the left. The head of a second cow is positioned in the immediate foreground on the right, partially cropped but in focus.

The sun is the focal point of the sky, appearing as a bright, glowing orb through a thin layer of clouds. This creates a hazy glow across the entire landscape and casts long, soft shadows from the central cow toward the viewer.
