Home from the first decent walk I've been able to take for almost two months, with some nice photograph opportunities, so I'll show a selection. The walk along the canal before was nice and after the woods I went high, but it was really the woods I enjoyed most today. So.. another pic of the buzzard, a low light distant spot of a green woodpecker, a path through the woods and a view of the castle hill on the way up and above the escarpment

..and 3 more of autumn fruit to follow 💕🌿

A buzzard soaring above, wings spread, seen against blue skies

A green woodpecker against the trunk of a tree, seen through various layers of foliage in between

A gently climbing ans winding woodland path, bordered by heavily moss covered rocks

View across rocky hills into the misty distance, in the midground a hill with castle ruins on the peak

Black and white photograph of the base of a large eastern cedar tree growing on rock, with peeling bark, twigs and grass between its large superficial roots. The oblique sunlight illuminates the trunk and filters through the rest of the cedar forest, blurred behind.

Lunch date with wife at our favorite pizza restaurant.

#photography #blackAndWhite #manualFocus #50mm #moddedCamera #monochromeCamera #darktable #silverEfex

Black and white photo of a dimly lit backroom arcade in portrait format.

A single Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy pinball machine dominates the scene, filling over 75% of the photo from the right side. The vertical face displays the five main characters from the first film. Clockwise from top: Star Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Rocket Racoon, and Drax, with Star Lord and Gamora emphasized with larger figures. Below the characters is a large rectangular display showing the current high score, titled "GGRAND CHAMPION LWL 3,205,930,170", and decorated with multiple overlapping light colored hexagons.

The top of the playing tables glows with reflections of the vertical table face. Inside the top half of the table numerous bubble lights inside the table, three pinball chutes on right and left, a small rocket racoon figure, and a large brain split in half are visible. The lower half of the table is blurred out of focus due to depth of field.

In the background right of the pinball machine, an outside window flares with glow from sunlight outside the room. Two chairs and a portion of a small dining table at the middle right edge.

Paysage d'un champ qui vient d'être fauché. Sur la gauche on voit la lisière d'un bois, un menhir y est posé. Au dessus de champ, le ciel est bleu sans nuage.
La lumière est rasante, typique d'une fin de journée.

Pigeon.
Sunday, September 20th, 2:23 p.m.

My fren just stood there, waiting for me to refill the water bowl. Frenly.

#photography #bird

A monochrome picture of a pigeon standing about three feet from me, slightly fluffed up and borb-like. Their head is tilted and they watch me, impatiently, while I take a picture before adding water to the bowl on the right.

Once the water was added, eight other pigeons walked over and took turns drinking and dunking their heads... splashing me when they shook off.

I love these little guys.

🇺🇦🍂 Here, it’s easy to think about what truly matters. About what has passed and what is yet to come. About the people you used to walk with here. About those who aren't by your side right now - for so many different reasons, each leaving its own ache or its own tender memory.

We seem particularly
bright around this
time of the year
don’t We?

It’s because of:
Space Algebra.

You see in the Fall,
the Sun its at a
lower angle.

Now, some see it as
obtuse and feel intense.
Others see it as acute
and feel like pizza slices.

The Sky done through
messing around
with an app
though.
