#FotoVorschlag: #Muster // #Patterns

Jahrhundert.
//
The floor inside #Trieste Cathedral. The #mosaic comes from an earlier structure – a 5th-century Early Christian basilica.

#KathedraleTriest #TriesteCathedral #SanGiusto #MosaicMonday #TextureTuesday

Mosaic floor inside Trieste Cathedral, photographed from above at a slight angle. The floor is composed of small, irregular stone tesserae in beige, brown, red and black, arranged in a geometric pattern of interlocking triangles and diamond shapes. The tesserae are tightly fitted together, forming a repeating, intricate design across the whole surface. The mosaic appears in good condition, with the stones firmly set in place.

Turquoise wallpaper with intertwined golden circles. A close-up shot, photographed from the side at a flat angle. This is why the pattern becomes increasingly blurred towards the right.

A little late for #TextureTuesday -- just liked this juxtaposition of street-tree roots with post-rain pattern on the pavement.

#Philadelphia #StreetPhotography

The juncture of sidewalk, tree, and road, photographed into near abstraction. On the left is road pavement, onto which rain and dirt have carved a sort of bark-ish pattern. The curb runs diagonally across the shot. On the right, a sidewalk tree, long constrained into its square, has made a tangle of knobby root knees just above the surface, with just the base of the trunk visible in the upper-right corner.

Warm golden and amber forms appear to melt and fold into one another against a dark background. A bright angular shape cuts through the center while softer reflections and blurred edges dissolve around it.

Twice during the hike up #Wendelstein,
I thought I ran across a patch of Elephant skin lying around. I wonder what carved these fine lines in different directions? Scale: both stones are ~30cm across.

Close-up of a stone with deeply carved fine lines filling the frame, resembling a gray, wrinkled animal skin with thick folds and cracked texture.

Wasser. Feder. Reflexion.
Water. feather. Reflection.

#Fotografie #photography #nature #naturephotography #Closeup #TextureTuesday

A white little fluffy feather floats on a dark watering hole. The focus is on the middle of the feather, you can see the reflection of the fine down on the dark water surface. Some sky, gray-blue, something green is also reflected, but blurred.

A close-up, sepia-toned photograph showing the exposed, intricate root systems of two large trees on a riverbank. The thick tree trunks stand elevated, while a dense network of gnarled roots reaches down into the dark, leaf-littered ground. In the background, thick branches and foliage create a shaded, almost mystical forest atmosphere.

#TextureTuesday

Yesterday afternoon, I went for a walk on the Crozon Peninsula, visiting in particular the Rostellec ship #graveyard.
I tend to focus on looking for details: old wood, metal, but also very much living seaweed.

#photography #Bretagne #Finistere #rivage #epave #wreck #algue #helice

"Wingspan" 🪽for #texturetuesday

Dragonflies have such cool, intricate looking wings!
They are part of the suborder "Anisoptera" .
"Aniso" — meaning unequal and "Ptera" — meaning wing. Because their back wings (or hind wings) are bigger than the front ones.
