Green hills and little piggies : In the world of Michael Sowa

There is a small personal story in the first comment.

#throwbackthursday #landscape #rural #fields #spring #art #michaelsowa #photography

Photo of a green field in spring, with a patch of white snow hidden from the sun behind a small mound, bordered by the forest in the back, under a light blue sky. A plane with its white trail is in the sky. And no, there is no hidden pig in there.

A scenic view of a road extending into the horizon under a blue sky filled with fluffy clouds. The vibrant colors of the sky suggest sunset, with lush greenery on the sides of the road. A car is visible driving along the road.

Photograph of a rural landscape, showing an undulating field with light brown soil that has just been turned over and prepared for new green manure planting, with a soft and smooth surface appearance. One part is in the sun on the right, the other in the shade of tall trees on the left. A forest edge arrives like a wave at the end of the field by the left, in the sun. A group of wild turkeys roams the field near the edge of the forest. Above, the sky is pale and clear blue.

Photograph of a wavy, bare field with an orange-brown earth that looks like a desert, contrasting with the pure blue sky above. The field is in the sun far away and in the shadow in the foreground, with the cross-shaped silhouette of a pole and electric wires.

Photograph of a rural landscape in autumn, showing a verdant hill descending the image obliquely from right to left, with small touches of yellow and orange here and there, and a maple tree already very red, contrasting almost at the center. At the bottom of the hill, fields with a beautiful bare golden soil, ready to be sown, separated from another very green field completely at the bottom of the photo by a border of shrubs. The blue sky occupies the upper half of the photo, with the moon almost full and white, just above the green hill.

// 'Typical of where I live / my hometown' // Typique d'où je vis / ma région'

Photograph of a green field, showing the very straight rows of green manure seedlings just emerging from the ground, rising towards the undulating back of the field, in the middle of the picture, lime green under the oblique light of late afternoon in September. The shadow of trees stretch across the field, coming from the left. Forest-covered hills with autumn colors are in the background, under a pale blue sky.
