"Roller Toaster III"

An abstract, highly out-of-focus photograph titled "Roller Toaster". It shows a close-up of the curved metal wires of a toaster's bun warmer. The intense motion blur makes the metallic lines streak across a light beige background, creating a dynamic, almost fluid appearance.

A large "Yoga Narasimha" installation at Widyaa-Waarinidhi Theertha Guest House, Udupi #India. It seems this #sculpture has been at this spot forever, but I noticed it only last night. (The wavy light strips behind create a moving effect.) 🧘‍♂️

The sculpture is modeled after the main deity of Kaniyooru Matha (which owns the guest house). 👇

#photography #PhotoMonday #FotoMontag #art #ama #yoga

A ~7 feet (2m+) high bronze sculpture of Hindu deity "Yoga Narasimha" which is a 4-armed Lord Narasimha (human body, lion face) seated in a yoga posture. The front arms stretched and held over knees in meditation. Each of the rear arms hold up an icon (chakra or disc; shankha or conch) of Wishnu. Some decorative wavy strips of LED light on the wall behind. A black idol of Lord Rama and a smaller black idol of Lord Krishna in front.

Kunst mit der Heckenschere:
Die Buchsgärten von Marqueyssac, Dordogne

#photography #fotomontag #buchs #dordogne

I recently succeeded in capturing a complex scene—more by chance than anything—at a demonstration in Rostock’s city harbor. The shot taken just a second later showed only the usual jumble of people. But here, everything comes together for me: the foreground, middle ground, and background; several small stories; a standout subject; and, as a little joke, the flagpole that seems to be growing out of the person’s head. Normally, I tend to prefer more uncluttered compositions. Recently, I’ve come to appreciate such complex photos through Matt Stuart’s work. And even though I can think of almost exclusively color examples of this genre—I actually like this one better in black and white.

Zum Wochenanfang ein funkelndes Meer

#FotoMontag #photoMonday #blackandWhite #monochromeMonday #Fotografie #photography #Nordsee

Black and white shot of the North Sea at St.Peter-Ording. The low-lying sun makes the draining water sparkle, small waves provide a metallic look, small sandbanks and associated different water heights divide the water into a graphic triangular acting pattern. The sky is cloudless.

Back again with the Unknonwn camera, and so far no one has been able to identify it. I’ve cleaned the lens but it appears that there is still something inside the camera that is scratching the negatives - so that’s my task for the winter, fixing that issue.

Camera: Unknown 6 x 4.5 folder
Lens: Steinheil München Cassar 1:2.9 75mm
Film: Fomapan 200 (developed in 1+100 510 Pyro)

Black and white macro photograph of a small grass flower spike, with some seeds near the centre along the stem, and spidery threads at the tip, glowing in the sun. Another similar spike is blurred in the background, with a few points of light, acting as bokeh.
