Photograph of a green pond seen through three windows of an octagonal wooden gazebo. The interior of the gazebo is dark and the wooden slats on the ceiling and half wall under the windows are visible. The vine covering the roof of the gazebo descends in front of the windows, partially obscuring the view at the top. Outside, the calm water of the lily pond reflects the green grasses and forest on its banks.

Thanks to everyone for the very helpful comments. All were/are very helpful.

Looks like self-hosting and using Immich is the way to go. I've been wanting to do a bit of self-hosting and it looks like this will push me in the that direction.

Thanks, again!

The same Kestrel playing hide and seek.

#Birds #Photography #Japan

Blue sky, wispy clouds scattered around a square format shot with two power lines passing diagonally across the top quarter of the frame and one passing across the bottom. The top two have twisting cables wrapped around the power line to support their weight.

Somewhere in the shot is a partially concealed, mid-flight kestrel.

Morning's valley view
Ancient river courses north
City to city

September 25, 2026

Color image of a view from downtown Akron, Summit County, Ohio, USA, across the Cuyahoga River Valley. Image shows a view north across the Cuyahoga River Valley from downtown Akron across the broad valley between Akron and Cleveland, downtown Akron sited on the continental divide between water flowing to the south into the Tuscarawas River, which goes into the Ohio River watershed, into the Mississippi River, then into the Gulf of Mexico, and water flowing to the north, into the Cuyahoga River, into Lake Erie and the Great Lakes, finding its way into both the St. Lawrence River and Seaway and from there into the Atlantic Ocean (a lesser amount flows into the Erie Canal and, eventually, into the Hudson River, and into the Atlantic Ocean by way of the Hudson's entry at New York). The sky is bright blue above the valley, white wispy clouds high above a sunny and shadowed treeline of mostly native leafy trees.

#photography #photo #fotografia #blackandwhite #bnwphotography #bnw #monochrome #blancoynegro #travel #streetphotography #architecture #cityscape

My face when I just want to drink a peaceful beer in the pub but the other old white men at the counter who never touched a computer in their lives start a heated discussion about the pros and cons of AI and their arguments are the kind of wrong where you can't even explain why they're wrong because they're entirely based on misread headlines in tabloids and second hand anecdotes they heard from other drunk people.

A boat glides along a calm river during a stunning sunset, with the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the scene. Buildings are silhouetted against the vibrant orange sky, and delicate branches frame the foreground. A single bird flies in the distance, adding a touch of movement to the tranquil setting.

Hellblauer Morgenhimmel.
