A tranquil stretch of sandy beach meets the gentle waves of the #YorkshireCoast, with a #HistoricShip sailing gracefully across the bay. Rolling green hills dotted with houses rise in the background, creating a picturesque #CoastalLandscape that blends nature and village charm. Seagulls circle over the calm waters, adding to the peaceful #SeasideView experienced by visitors enjoying the #BeachVibes. The area is a beloved spot for tourists, often visited for its scenic beauty and maritime heritage.

A sandy beach stretches along the foreground with scattered patches of seaweed, leading to calm, shallow waters where gentle waves meet the shore. A small sailing ship with tall masts floats near the centre of the scene, surrounded by a few seabirds flying low over the water. Beyond the sea, a green hillside rises with a mix of open grass and dense wooded areas, dotted with houses and small buildings near the top and along the shoreline. The sky is mostly cloudy with breaks allowing sunlight to brighten parts of the landscape, creating a contrast between the shaded slopes and the lighter areas of the coast.

"Grippers"

I like the look of channel lock pliers and thought to make a kind of formal portrait.

#BW #studiowork #photography

A kind of formal portrait of a channel lock pliers in black and white. Lighting is mainly from the sides so it has a ghostly look with haloing from the lights bouncing off the chrome of the tool's edges. On textured watercolor paper. The handles are cropped off, it's just the gripper jaws opened to the third groove in the channel rack.

We have all seen those ultra-stiff, heavily airbrushed corporate photos that do not look like real human beings.

Getting a portrait taken should just be about capturing you as you are—genuine, relaxed, and approachable. Taking photos of people is really just about making them forget there is a camera in the room.
