This color photograph captures the window of an old building on a faded, light-yellow wall. The wall is covered with paint cracked by time, with a wide blue stripe running along the bottom. The wooden window frame is peeling, and the dark green of trees is reflected in the glass. On the windowsill, among green leaves, a bright red geranium stands out — the only saturated spot of color in the frame, drawing the eye. On the left of the wall, the mark "KK 7" is visible. The image is built on minimalism and color contrast, conveying the atmosphere of a quiet, "unnoticed" urban everyday life.

Ostentation and splendor

Taken on 55th St. and Lexington Avenue, this is the Central Synagogue (Manhattan) It is a national landmark building and was done in the Moorish Revival style. The photo was taken last week and I had been working on making it more colorful so perhaps added to the ostentation 😅

A color photo taken of the corner of a synagogue. It is done in a very dark stone and the windows have white stone arches over the top of them. The flat roof has intricate black wrought iron work going across like a fence. It looks quite medieval. There are two large but squat towers on each side that look like minarets . On top are giant globes, the bottom of which are dark and the top are gold. This old landmark building is in front of two high-rises that sprouted up behind it, one is very thin on the left and the other is very wide on the right. I have overlaid a photo with part of some rainbow colors on it. It makes the top of the photo look to be red, orange-ish, and yellow towards the top.
