A high angle, wide shot of an Australian silver gull standing alone in a dense patch of green grass dotted with small yellow flowers and dandelions. The bird appears small within the expansive meadow, viewed under bright daylight that accentuates the rich textures of the vegetation. A subtle watermark for Kev Peirce Photography sits in the lower right corner.

How many birds do you see in this picture?

Enjoy!

Description:

Picture of rocky beach. Rocks of several sizes are lying in the seawater (German North Sea). On one rock in the center of the picture is (good visible) a seagull standing, looking left.

Solution of the question:

Three birds are in the picture. Besides the gull there are two sandpipers (german: "Strandläufer"), one is sitting right of the center near the lower edge of the picture frame, the second is sitting between two rocks in middle position of the left frame edge, looking to the left. The sandpipers are showing perfect camouflage with same patterns and color scheme as the rocks in the water.

Feeding the gulls at Sandgate

#Photography #Brisbane #Meanjin #Sandgate #birds #Seagull #Gull #BirdsInFlight #BirdPhotography #WildlifePhotography #NaturePhotography #Olympus #OMSystem #Darktable #Beach

A Silver Gull in flight over a beach, banked steeply so its wings form a near-vertical line, one wingtip near the top of the frame and the other near the bottom. The bird has a white body, grey upper wings with black and white wingtips, an open red beak, and orange legs jutting from its underside towards the camera. Its head is turned up and to the left, towards a small chip/fry in the air just beyond its beak. The sky behind is clear deep blue, paling towards the horizon, with a few small white clouds. Below the bird is a wide flat beach of wet brown sand crossed by shallow pools and channels of water. Further back, a band of blue-green sea with small white waves meets the horizon, where a faint line of low land is visible.

Floating

I went through all my rejected shots to free some now so precious hard drive space, and some were actually salvageable! Like this one 😀
// Exif on post’s instance

Vertical shot. A seagull, floating on the sea. The only other anchor for the eye is the blurry rocks in the foreground

On the boat back home from our holidays in Scotland we watched seagulls hunting for fish, for breed, for anything establishment and available. Shot some nice pictures there with my Nikon D7500.
