Abendimpressionen.

#Ostsee #mond #moon #balticsea #photography

#PhotOfTheDay is another sign that caught my eye, this time on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Explanation in the ALT.

Visitors look out from a railed viewpoint toward the three-storey Seiganto-ji pagoda on the Kumano Kodo in Wakayama, Japan. Nachi Falls drops in a long narrow cascade down a forested cliff face behind the pagoda. Steps, manicured gardens, and scattered visitors fill the grounds below.

A weathered window fills the frame. Its pale surface is marked by age and use, with a closed blind behind the glass. Soft light lies across the window and surrounding wall, creating a quiet, balanced composition without revealing the interior.

A woman hiker on the Kumano Kodo trail smiles at the camera. She wears a cap, a white t-shirt, a running vest, and carries a fully loaded backpack with a water bottle. Trees and a forest path are visible behind her.

A small group of hikers rests at a rural bus stop on a highway in Wakayama. One sits on the grass, one sits on the bench, one stands with arms crossed, and two others stand to the right sorting gear. A green road sign in the background points toward Shirahama and Tanabe.

An older man sits on a low stone wall outside a temple on the Kumano Kodo, a white towel draped around his neck, wearing sandals and dark trousers. Traditional temple buildings and trees are visible behind him.

The ornate wooden entrance of a small Shinto shrine on the Kumano Kodo. A thick rope hangs from a bell above the closed doors, which are reached by a short flight of steps. Decorative carvings of dragons and scrollwork are painted along the eaves. Stone walls and forest are visible on either side.

I was out exploring the woods the other afternoon and this massive bracket fungus caught my eye right at ground level. It was practically wrestling its way through a thick tangle of ivy and green grass. https://buff.ly/HtOzmlR

#photography #Nature #Woodland #Fungi #ForestFloor #mycology

A top-down close-up photo of a large, tiered bracket fungus growing close to the ground. The mushroom caps form an overlapping, scalloped semicircular rosette with undulating, wavy pale edges and a soft brown, textured surface. Dark green leaves of common ivy, blades of woodland grass, and patches of green moss weave naturally through and around the fungus. The lighting is soft and diffused, creating a calm, natural, and earthy forest floor atmosphere.

I get my parcels delivered to the UPS store. Canada Post left a slip for me there, but they couldn't leave the package because of duties. I went to the post office, where they acknowledged my slip and my ID, but said I couldn't prove that the UPS mailbox was legally mine. Rules. 🙄

I knew that they would relent eventually, but I had to listen to an aggrieved lecture for 10 minutes.

What was in the parcel, you ask?

📍 Santander.

#FensterFreitag #WindowFriday

Descripción en #alttext

#photography #photo #fotografia #blackandwhite #bnwphotography #bnw #monochrome #blancoynegro #travel #streetphotography #architecture #cityscape
