pines and lines

#forest #trees #quebec #photography

Photograph of the forest at the edge of a road (not visible), showing red pines with long, straight, pale gray trunks, their middle branches pruned for the installation of power lines. Five power lines cross the top of the image, in front of the trees. Behind them, the higher branches of the pines have dark green needles, with the white sky visible through them. Below the power lines, the forest is denser, with lower branches bearing long green needles, small green spruce trees, and red-twigged red-osier dogwoods growing among the larger trees.

Sunset at ‘t Bluk

#Landscape #Photography

A serene and expansive sandy landscape under a bright, late-day sun. The foreground is dominated by rolling sand dunes, their surfaces textured with countless footprints and subtle shadows. Scattered across the dunes are a few solitary trees and patches of low-lying vegetation. The sky above is a blend of pale blue and soft white clouds, streaked with wispy contrails from passing aircraft. The sun, positioned towards the right side of the frame, casts a warm glow over the scene.

#pylon #photography and on popular (one person) demand: #jagodacore

I have no idea why this one looks so CGI despite being an analog photo, it gives me flashbacks to one time I modeled a transmission tower in blender and it looked like this. I guess fast shutter speed doesn't help.

“@OnlyFjords: Is It a Joke? And Will It Last?”
#ThePhantomsThoughts article: https://thepfromtheo.vivaldi.net/2025/07/14/onlyfjords-is-it-a-joke-and-will-it-last/

“This saying caught my attention:

You deserve something different. Something untouched by urgency.

The answer isn’t no content.

It’s the right content.”

“Now, I like this, but why only fjords, Vivaldi? This question came in my mind soon after watching the video. But Vivaldi was ready for that:

Because they’re stunning. But also because we believe the internet should be just as majestic, not stripped down to whatever keeps people doom scrolling the longest.”

“[…] it’s only fjords.

🙂

So yeah, that’s the point. I don’t have any fjord photo, and this means… that I can only come from time to time and see what people posted there? It looks like that.”
