I don't typically engage via a social media service in order to look for "work", but...
I am looking to transition into or near #Seattle #Washington by the end of the year. If anyone working in the #cannabis industry wants to get a hold of me, feel free to hit me up. If it helps, I'm an ex-IT guy, so my skill set is all over the place.

"And now, we’ve arrived at the logical conclusion of all this—Eric #Trump, the barking embodiment of dumb-son nepotism. A laughable lout with inherited intellectual necrosis and the empathy of a Terminator wrapped in designer smugness.
In Eric we have the heir to a #political dynasty so corrupt it saddens Tammany Hall, b/c they’re not here to stand and clap. A guy whose gums allow you to shelter-in-place during EF4 tornadoes. Whose existence makes it so when you say the “the dumb Trump son,” you’re somehow not talking about Don Jr."

When they set out to make their power supply 100% green, Northwest leaders ignored the fact that the region lacks the wiring to deliver new sources of renewable energy to people’s homes.
Little has been done to change that, ProPublica and Oregon Public Broadcasting found.

NEW: Washington Law Says to Alert the Public When Doctors Are Accused of Misconduct. It Can Take Months.
In the case of OB-GYN Mark Mulholland, who was repeatedly accused of sexual misconduct, Washington’s medical board waited six weeks to announce it had filed charges. He kept seeing patients during that time, and one alleges he abused her in the interim.

May you never forget your crazy, childhood dreams.
And may you pull them out, take a good look at them, and see if there is something about them that still tugs at your heart.
Because maybe those dreams aren't so crazy, after all.

I don't have any idea how likely this is to make it out, but some fucked up Rs are trying to remove Washington state's amazing voting through mail in ballots. This morning is a great time to do a quick "NO THANK YOU" comment on this bill: https://app.leg.wa.gov/pbc/bill/1584

Washington Governor Orders Team to Study Data Centers’ Impact on Energy Use, Job Creation and Tax Revenue
—
Last year, The Seattle Times and ProPublica reported on how the state created a massive tax break for data centers, encouraging the growth of an industry whose energy use conflicts with a goal for utilities to go carbon neutral by 2030.

For over a year I’ve been gathering documents from the #Washington state department of #archaeology and historic preservation, trying to make sense of how their permitting system works. Trying to understand why it’s so hard for #Indigenous people to protect their heritage from development, even when the state archaeologist is trying to help. This is what I’ve found. 🔍

After paying for hotel rooms to shelter homeless people, Seattle deliberately left them vacant.
By the end of 2024, taxpayers were spending $4,200 a month per empty room at a time when thousands of residents were without a roof over their heads.
