Day 270
#365project

Look, you're gonna keep getting sunsets as long as they keep coming. Deal with it.

A wide-angle shot overlooking a secluded sandy beach at twilight. In the foreground, large, dark damp rocks sit in the sand. The beach is surrounded by shrub covered hills. A massive gray cloud stretches horizontally across the sky, with an intense orange glow on its underside from the setting sun, while above it remains vibrant blue.

#MinimalismMonday + #MonochromeMonday

I originally took this for FotoVorschlag (Numbers 4) but then I found a better one for that. So here's an ultra low key Monday for ya.

Four dark, parallel power lines stretch horizontally through the frame against a background of moody storm clouds with faint patches of lighter gray light breaking through.

"Arched" for #FotoVorschlag "Typisch für meinen Wohnort" / "Typical for where I live"

With almost 62km of porticoes in Bologna, (about 40km in the city centre), I'd say these are pretty typical. 😂

#photography #amateurphotography #blackandwhite #monochrome #monochromemonday #architecture #bologna #portico #city #cityscape #urban #night #nightphotography #urbanarchitecture #canon #canonphotography #perspective

This is a black-and-white photograph of some of the portico in San Luca. It is a long, dramatic hallway framed by a repeating series of vaulted stone arches. The arches repeat into the distance. There is light from the fixtures up above which illumintae the upper curves and also illuminate the stone pavement below.

A winding rural road in Wales. A large, mature leafy tree stands on the left grass bank and there are dense woods on the right. In the distance, rolling hills are illuminated in oranges by the warm light of the setting sun.

Grizzana Morandi 🏔️ for #mountainmonday

Sorry to everyone who has found/followed me from Pixelfed. At the moment I cannot see any notifications or comments etc. from there. Not too sure why.
I'll try and scour from my Masto account so I don't miss anything.

Also, you're going to get a mix of old and new for a while. Please bear with me through the repeats! 🫂

This is a photo of a mountain (one that makes up the Apennines) taken from the road below it. At the peak there is lots of dense green forestry and some of it is shrouded by misty clouds. In the middle of the frame there is a clearing with four houses painted in orange/beige and white.
Below in the foreground a road curves to the left and there is a deer crossing sign visible.

Typisch für meinen Wohnort / meine Heimat » Typical of where I live / my home region

Ruins from mining operations in the mountains of Eryri are very typical for North Wales.

The stone ruins of a historic mining operation standing on a grassy slope by a lake in the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). The stone building is made of rough block and stands roofless. Sunlight streams through the windows, lighting up the shaded side in patches. A wide gravel footpath runs along the edge of the blue lake which reflects the steep mountains rising sharply in the background under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds.

I remember taking this shot while I was riding around the city on Thanksgiving day. I've never seen downtown St. Louis so, well, not busy. I loved every single minute of it and rode around for hours. Taken with my iPhone 13 mini.

Picture of an empty St. Louis downtown street on Thanksgiving. Tall buildings and streets and sidewalk had no traffic.

"Wingspan" 🪽for #texturetuesday

Dragonflies have such cool, intricate looking wings!
They are part of the suborder "Anisoptera" .
"Aniso" — meaning unequal and "Ptera" — meaning wing. Because their back wings (or hind wings) are bigger than the front ones.
