Good kite surfing weather

#Photography #Darktable #Brisbane #Meanjin #Sandgate #Queensland #Kitesurfing #Kiteboarding #Beach #Ocean #Seascape #BlueSky #OMSystem #Olympus #MicroFourThirds

A man walks across a grassy bank towards the sea, seen from behind. He wears a black top, black cap with neck guard, black shorts and a black harness around his waist, and carries a red and white striped kiteboard under one arm. Below the bank is a wide beach with long shallow pools of water between sand bars, and a few other people are near the water. The sea is blue-green with small white waves, and low grey hills sit on the horizon. The sky is bright blue with a band of white cloud, and a dark kitesurfing kite is in the air above the water to the left. The foreground grass is dry and brown, with taller green grass, a few weathered wooden posts and a tree stump at lower right, and a sparse shrub at the right edge.

Vendredi 25 septembre, ballade à Daoulas. Dans les jardins de l'Abbaye et en ville ensuite ...

#Photo #Photography #Monochrome #NoiretBlanc #BlackandWhite #bnw #darktable #NoGenAI #NoAI #bretagne #finistere

(At the Saint-Ouen flea market)
#Photography #Photographie #StreetPhotography #PhotographieDeRue #Darktable #Market #SaintOuen #Paris #SilentSunday

Photograph of an alleyway in a flea market. Sunlight hits the closed metallic curtains of the shops on the left side of the alleyway and the empty chairs in front of these shops. Growths of ivy covers one the walls of the chair shop. In the shade on the right side of the alleyway, a locker box covered in stickers sits under a pipe covered in stickers, connecting to the roof's rain gutters. The sunlight passes through the thin space between the opposite shops' roofs.

The full moon, behind overhead high-voltage power lines, has just risen above the horizon. In the lower sixth of the picture is a dark landscape and the silhouette of some hedgerows. High-voltage pylons stand on the left and right, with cables suspended between them. There are also three wind turbines standing between the pylons.

Black and white landscape format photo of wooden Scrabble board game tiles in a for sale bin.

Each of the over one thousand tiles are arranged randomly. Some face up with a letter centered on the face of the tile, and it's corresponding point value in lower right corner. Others lie face down, and still others rest at different angles from vertical. Some have light colored grain and some have dark colored grain. The grain lines/patterns are also random; some with thick lines and others narrow lines, running across each tile at different angles.

Nur #rund darf es sein in @norberteder's #52WochenFotoChallenge

39/52 Just Round
There were plenty of opportunities to take a photo for the challenge... While visiting a boat show and strolling through the large halls, this beautiful, nicely manufactured fitting caught my eye and it made it to the final choice for this week 😎

#boat #fitting #minimalism #blackAndWhite #bnw #photography #darktable #paperg

Close-up in black and white. The image shows a circular fitting on a boat hull, which serves as a plain white background. The fitting features a section curved backward that extends vertically from the top to just below the center. The fitting's mounting consists of two slender cylindrical parts on the left and right; the junction with the hull is concealed by a round cover. All parts are made of chrome-plated metal.

The willie-wagtail kept harassing the crow. There must have been 50 birds in the area, but only this single crow caught the ire of the willie, who would come back every time the crow re-appeared

#Photography #Birds #BirdPhotography #Crow #Wildlife #WildlifePhotography #NaturePhotography #AustralianBirds #MoretonBay #Queensland #Australia #OMSystem #Olympus #MicroFourThirds #Darktable

A large black Torresian Crow stands on short green grass and takes up most of the left and centre of the frame. Its body is side on with its tail pointing to the right, and its head is turned back so that its open beak points up and to the right. Its eye is pale blue with a dark centre, and its wing feathers have a dark blue sheen. In the upper right of the frame, a much smaller black and white willie wagtail is in the air with its wings spread and its tail fanned out, as it is caught mid swoop in a dive towards the crow. The small bird is slightly blurred from movement. The grass in the background is out of focus.

🇬🇧 Monochrome, horizontal. An old facade of an old building where there was a door, number 10 of which remains on the lintel, blocked but still discernible. A wide and apparently old chute also partially covers it. A "Colic" tag, as a manuscript, was drawn on the chute.

🇫🇷 Monochrome, horizontale.
