🇬🇧 Horizontal shot of a gray, overcast and foggy coastline with a breaking wave in the foreground and on the horizon a large number of ghostly sails of IMOCA class boats a few minutes before the start of the solitary non-stop Vendée Globe race around the world, accompanied by spectator boats. A breakthrough of sunlight illuminates the sea between the two planes.

Photograph of the canopy of a very green forest, taken from a slightly high angle, showing the trunks and branches in the middle of the trees. The sky is visible through the leaves.

Close-up photograph of lime green moss covering the vertical face of a rock. Other moss is blurred in the background.

Photograph of conifers near a stream, growing directly on moss-covered rocks. The lower part of the spruce branches is rather bare, and the sun penetrates the forest to the ground.

Sun-bleached wooden fencing around a deck forms a lattice work of posts, joints and joists dominating the frame. Tightly cropped, a lone kingfisher sits on a support in the upper left corner, its plump outline and extravagant plumage emphasised by the plain post behind it-

Blue morning

#FensterFreitag #WindowFriday #noedit #photography #montreal

Photograph of three buildings from different eras. The one on the left is at an angle and in the sun, probably from mid 20th century, with beige smooth bricks. The one in the middle is in the shadow and from 19th century, with red brick forming four ornamental columns and very small squares in the windows. The last row of windows at the very top are semi circular with decorated beige stones on top of the columns. The building on the right is in shadow and from 21st century, with only glass windows. The two buildings in the shadow are facing the photographer and reflecting the very blue morning sky and a church with its green copper roof.

A dirt path winds through a field of heather, dotted with grazing sheep. The sky is awash with vibrant colors. The sun, positioned low on the horizon, casts long shadows across the path and the surrounding landscape. A tree stands tall to the right, its silhouette stark against the colorful sky. The path is lined with a flock of sheep, their white wool contrasting against the heather. Some sheep are grazing along the path, while others wander further into the field.

I love these Art Nouveau (not Deco!) Paris Metro entrance arches. This is the Père LaChaise station, Lignes № 1–2 #Photography #Paris Shot in 2008 w/Canon Powershot SD100. Nice little camera.

A photo of the arched gate at the entrance to a Paris Metro station. A sign lettered in very artistic type reads “Metropolitain”

Gorgeous Art Nouveau signage for the Paris Metro, this is the Père LaChaise station.
