Of the 186 species of Honeyeaters spread across the globe, roughly half of them are endemic to Australia, making Australia home to nearly half of the world's total honeyeater variety. Heres a yellow-faced honey eater

We landed in Crete on Tuesday.
As we’d had to set off in the middle of the night to catch our flight from Düsseldorf, our first order of business was to explore the hotel and the immediate surroundings, as well as do some initial shopping for essentials.
On Wednesday, we set off – in search of beautiful views.
Right at the very first spot, we had the chance to capture three different scenes.

The real story of this eclipse wasn't the year of planning, but the days spent adjusting to unpredictable Spanish weather.

I recently succeeded in capturing a complex scene—more by chance than anything—at a demonstration in Rostock’s city harbor. The shot taken just a second later showed only the usual jumble of people. But here, everything comes together for me: the foreground, middle ground, and background; several small stories; a standout subject; and, as a little joke, the flagpole that seems to be growing out of the person’s head. Normally, I tend to prefer more uncluttered compositions. Recently, I’ve come to appreciate such complex photos through Matt Stuart’s work. And even though I can think of almost exclusively color examples of this genre—I actually like this one better in black and white.
