A typhoon scoots by. Shot through a window, the focus is on the rain droplets clinging to the glass. Beyond the balcony is a skyline of blurry buildings and distant city lights beneath overcast clouds. In the top left is a large glowing disc which could be the moon except that it’s a reflection of the paper lamp shade in the room.

And that’s it; 126 images, 126 days, an image per day. Sydney Roller Derby League, 2013. A great historical moment in local communities letting their freak flags fly, before the mainstream gentrified the weird away.

Have to figure out what my next post a day project will be.

D'Viants Vs. Screaming Assault Sirens. 126, of 126.

a film picture of a motorcycle. in the background are some trees and a brick wall. it seems as if there are some color shifts/aberrations in the image due to what the photographer believes are light leaks or development problems. they give this particular picture a certain je ne sais quoi, just enough that it doesnt actually ruin the image like they do in other images from the roll.

Those horns! A close encounter with one of Africa’s most recognizable animals, photographed near Kruger National Park in South Africa. I love how black and white brings out the incredible texture and detail of this wildebeest.

A monochrome photograph of an old Honda CD200 Road Master resting beside Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi. The motorcycle has a worn, weathered finish and classic lines, standing out against the quiet lakeside surroundings. In the background, the softly blurred Turtle Tower rises from the lake, while leafy branches form a canopy overhead, creating an atmospheric scene with a timeless, nostalgic quality.

Santa Clara River north of the San Gabriel Mountain, onboard Metrolink Antelope Valley line. It was HOT outside, like 40 degrees C. The river is where the green vegetation grows, as is common in SoCal rivers. In the early days of my new life in NYC, I missed LA, so I played Train Sim World which has this line. #losangelescounty #sangabriels #sangabrielmountains #river #forest #landscape #photography #darktable

“Sierra Meadow and Peak” — Early light strikes a Sierra Nevada crest peak above a shadowed subalpine valley.

I was up and out of camp in the dark on this late-August morning. My plan was to work my way up Tioga Pass Road toward the pass, where I had a few subjects in mind along the way. After that I would head over the pass and out of the park to explore some areas just east of the Sierra crest. After going to the end of this valley to make a few photographs of alpine terrain, I headed back down this way, to pausing at a few places I had noted on the way up.

I took the train all the way to the last stop, Lancaster, CA. I had an hour before the train back to LA, so I had dinner in Lancaster and took a walk on Lancaster Blvd. It was already pretty empty. This is a little art studio on Lancaster Blvd. #losangelescounty #bluehour #architecture #photography #darktable

An abstract, highly out-of-focus photograph titled "Roller Toaster". It shows a close-up of the curved metal wires of a toaster's bun warmer. The intense motion blur makes the metallic lines streak across a light beige background, creating a dynamic, almost fluid appearance.
