#SilentSunday #sea #seascape #photography

Photograph of a seaside landscape, showing a rocky island in the distance, some rocks sticking out from the water where seabirds are resting, as well as the beach at the bottom of the image. The sky is very pale blue and it reflects on the barely wrinkled sea. The sun hidden behind the diaphanous clouds emits a very white light. The light illuminates the island and the rocks from behind, making visible only their black silhouettes.

My sister in law came up to the cabin this week to see the fall colors. The weather was mostly cold and windy until today so she was able to get the money shot early this morning when the lake was as smooth as glass.

A vertical stitched image. Looking into the forest. The trees grow closely together, and there is a lot of hanging "old man's beard" lichen. The sun is flitering through a small clear space created by a tree that fell in a recent windstorm.

My Black & White iPhone Photography Process 🖤🤍

Over the last few months, I’ve tweaked and refined my iPhone photography formats and tools. For black and white, I’ve landed on a process that I’m really rather happy with.

Tritons in the Dark

The Triton Fountain in Valletta, Malta. It’s an impressive artwork, but all the better when it’s lit up at night! ...

Triton Fountain at night: three bronze Tritons hold up a large round basin with water spilling from its rim, above a circular stone base carved with rounded lobes and lit warm from below; long-exposure jets of water arc across a pool lit bright turquoise, with street lamps and buildings behind and a dark, cloudy sky overhead.

Succulents

#LeafScrolling #Nature #Photography

A dense cluster of succulent rosettes, viewed from directly above. The image features a tightly packed arrangement of numerous small, neatly layered rosette-forming plants.

The plants showcase a striking gradient of vivid, luminous emerald and lime greens at their centers, where the leaves tightly spiral outward. The outer and older leaves transition into warm earthy tones of bronze, copper, and muted brown.

Photograph of the almost calm surface of a lake, on which the autumn forest is reflected, with green conifers in the background, a small reddish-green tree on the left and a bright yellow and orange tree occupying the central place in the foreground. The surface of the lake is slightly blurred by some undulations and creates an effect of oil painting, as if the trees had been painted with brushes, in the manner of Monet. The reflection is normally upside down but has been turned around.

I also wanted to take some Aerochrome style infrared photos of autumn leaves today, but I grabbed the wrong IR-cut-filter… -.- oh well, these are nice too #photography #infrared

An infrared photo up towards the sky, featuring an old streetlight with a large bulbous lamp inside. There are trees framing the lamppost. The leaves are bright white, glowing almost. The sky above is aquamarine blue

A photo down a rotten greenhouse. There’s grey dirt, a lot of grass and shrubbery, as well as a typical classroom chair. It is very out of place, ont he outside, in some shrubbery. A weird scene. All grass is white, the photo very desaturated, all in all an alien look

ALT

An office chair next to an old greenhouse with big white blue glass walls. There’s also a tall plant with very bright white leaves. The sky is blue, as is the entire scene. An odd photo

Autumn in the aspens! Golden leaves, pale trunks, and a forest full of color. I love wandering through these groves in the mountains of northern New Mexico, especially when the leaves are at their peak. Every direction offers another beautiful view.
